Great business trip hotel.
I couldn't be happier. Business travel is tough with many days on the road and many late nights. I arrived at 1:45 AM CST/ 2:45 AM EST and found the desk clerk at the desk and ready to help me. He was quick and friendly without being too talkative as I was tired. The room was beautiful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I got to bed at 3 AM my time and was up early. It felt like I had a full nights sleep. Club level breakfast is great. Hotel ammenties, the overall condition is beautiful ad it's close to restaurants and highways. I will be travelling to Chicago in the future and hope to be close enough to Northbrook to stay here again. Thank you!

I ate in the hotel restaurant because it was too cold to go out. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken. Let's say I've tasted better.

Excellent quality for a fabulous price
This was a first rate hotel at a very reasonable price. Rooms were great -- down feather comforter on the bed, great pillows and very, very quiet. Every staff person was helpful and friendly. We would return to this Shearton without hesitation!

Tremendous Value!
We enjoyed our stay at this recently-opened hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our king-size bed was comfortable, with nice linens and plenty of pillows. The large flat screen TV was a nice bonus. The guestroom also featured an unusually large work area situated by the large window which should appeal to business travelers who really need to spread out. The design of the hotel and guest room was very tasteful and felt upscale. The bar/restaurant area was attractive, and the business center is adjacent to it, so at cocktail hour, you can enjoy an adult beverage and catch up on the day's e-mails. The indoor pool/jacuzzi area is adequate. The decor is stark, although a large window helps to open up the space. There were not a sufficient number of loungers or tables/chairs. The pool was a bit on the chilly side--okay for lap swimmers but too brisk for those looking to relax. The jacuzzi was nice and warm. The pool area could use more plants and more appealing lighting. The staff (housekeeping and front desk) were friendly and accommodating. Parking is free in the hotel surface lot. My only complaint is probably not unique to this hotel. I brought my laptop along and hoped to be able to plug it in to the flat-screen so I could listen to music (my computer's built-in speakers are crummy). Alas, the menu button on the hotel television was locked out by the pay-per-view provider, so I couldn't access the necessary input on the TV.
