Motel 6 Bloomington Normal

The hotel was very dirty and not maintained. The linens were dirty. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed before. I knew not to expect much, but a ring around the tub and dirty sink isn't acceptable either. Unfortunately Motel 6 wasn't my first choice, but due to last minute planning their were no other vacancies available the weekend of graduation. I will never make this oversight again, primarily due to this experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone to make a reservation here.

Not the best, but cheap and clean. Mini refrigerator was a pleasant surprise.

It was just ok. The room could use some updating. Very damp under the sink.

Hotel did not have my reservation. First room i was given had not been cleaned from previous guest and was moved to a different room. Beds were very uncomfortable, rooms are noisy and smelled of smoke. about 1/2 of channels on tv did not come in.

the sink in bathroom wouldnt run cold water i didnt tell the hotel just made do. staff very friendly, breakfast desent.had issues with reservation but was taking care of had issues with billing also but hotel took care of it.hotel very close to shopping,food bout 10mins from zoo and childerns museum eastlen mall right up street shppoing center accross street

Our reserved room was 116. There were no working lights over the vanity, and apparently no one to fix them, so [...] from the front desk apologized profusely and offered to move us next door to 118. When my husband went to move our car, the door slammed behind him and I was locked in!!!! I called [...] and she again apologized and said she'd send someone down. Finally a man came with a card key and after much struggling he finally got it open. On to room 118! There was a really bad, moldy musty odor in there, and we soon discovered why: the air conditioning unit dripped IN to our room, wetting the carpet, instead of OUT of the room, wetting the sidewalk. We'd already bothered [...] enough, we felt, so we decided to just live with it. We have stayed at other Days Inns because of the low prices; well, this time we truly got what we paid for!

take trips about 4 to 5 times a year for business and pleasure. This was the worst hotel I have stayed in in over 20 years! Elevator walls filthy and on A/C. Reserved king bed oops sorry only have a queen bed available. Ceiling tiles missing in hallway on top floor 3rd floor. Room smelled like smoke all night. This was a non smoking room! shoer and toilet barely fit in the enclosed bathroom room. More like an oversized closet! Thought this was a renovated hotel not in the process. They should rip it down and start over! Pay the extra 20 bucks and stay a any of 10 other hotels within 1 mile of the rat trap!

A stopover on our way home. Just looking for something simple. The lady at the front desk was extremely incompetent. Maybe it was her first day. She was pleasant enough but made our stay miserable. We specifically selected 2BR Suite [...] because we have a 2 year old that gets distracted and excited at bed time--was assuming there would be 2 separate rooms in the "suite". When we got there, the room keys she gave us didn't work. After traipsing back to the front desk she tried again--still a no go. Finally she moved us into a different room. 2BR but definitely not a suite (it was tiny and one room). She claimed it was a suite because it was "nicer than the other 2 BR options". If that's the case, I wouldn't want to see the other ones. No cold water, mystery stains on our sheets. However, if the worker at the front desk would have been more helpful I would rate it higher. The guy at the front desk in the morning seemed nice, competent and customer-focused.

adequate for needs

I've traveled 100,000 per year for the last 8 years and this was one of my best stays. The room was clean; breakfast was ready on time (and even early when I left 1 1/2 hours before the start of breakfast).
