Homestead Chicago - Naperville

I stayed here while I was on a business trip. I chose this hotel because I did not want to spend alot on a hotel room during my business stay and this hotel was very close and convenient to where I needed to be. The hotel was in a very good location, the staff was friendly, but the hotel is run down and in need of fixing up. It is not a fancy hotel, but is a good value for the price. I would stay here again because it was convenient, inexpensive, and in a good location.

This hotel was a little run down and in need of a refurbishment. It was not the cleanest and had an unpleasent ordor.

I was assigned a room that wasn't cleaned yet. Note, I checked in at 8pm. It should have been cleaned by then. They assigned me to another room. That room was clean but smelled really bad like it was fumigated. It actually hurt my nose and eyes. After sitting in the bed for about 15 minutes I noticed a small bug on my hand wiggling. It was a flea. Hence the terrible smell in the place. It was fumigated to kill fleas. I couldn't sleep there. I didn't want fleas getting into my luggage or on me and going home with me. That's just gross. They really need to make sure that this gets taken care of. I called and booked a room at the Country Inn & Suites just down the road. Much cleaner place.

Myself and other business associates were supposed to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, but it was so loud and discussing we checked out after only one night and went elsewhere. Expected more for the price.

the room air condistioner was not workin good, room smelled smoky, my toilet got stopped up, whent to front dest to get help, but i was told to use the plunger to fix it myself, lobby was rundown, DO NOT STAY THEIR, pay a little more for a desent room

DO NOT trust this hotel. Management charged my credit card 3 times for a “no show” fee for a reservation I NEVER booked. The manager basically accused me of lying when I called about the charges, told me that my credit card and personal information could NOT be removed from their system (I stayed at this hotel ONCE months ago). Said I “called in” a reservation for a 1 week stay (with no documentation) and when I did not show up, charged my card. Advised I should NOT cancel my credit card. Told me that there was no way to track/trace who made the reservation as “they don’t have caller id” and that the “person” who made this reservation did not have to verify any of my information first before booking it. After the charges were reversed, I received a condescending email confirming the reversed charges. This hotel is EXTREMELY SHADY.

This was supposed to be a one- night romantic getaway. I wouldn't recommend this place for that purpose. If you need a place to stay for the night or are looking for a longer- termed visit, then this is the spot for you.

I have no complaints about this Homestead motel. The price fit my needs very nicely. The room was clean and provided me with a nice place to stay. The location was great for me to access the places I needed to visit. The staff was friendly and helpful when I would ask questions and they laughed at my silly jokes (always a plus). My reason for being in the area was to visit family.

The room was filthy. We were supposed to have a non smoking Queen Suite and it smelled as if an exorcism had just taken place and the Marlboro Man had died of lung cancer in this room. Toenail clippings and a dirty band-aid on the floor. Kitchen counter top had been used and not cleaned with stuck on food residue. Bathroom faucet was fit for bathing a small pig but not for human use. Absolute armpit of the earth! Staff was disinterested and barely literate. Wonderful place to avoid. Many good hotels in Naperville and this is not one of them.

My room with a queen bed was very spacious. Very nice to have the kitchen. However, the room faced the east-west tollway. The noise never abated. Sounded like sleeping next to a rumbling stream. Not good!
