Booking online like we did, we not have an option to indicate we had a small dog. Therefore when we checked in we were put in a smoking room on the second floor without an elevator. Having my 87 year old mother with us made that difficult and the
smoking room did not help with her breathing. The reviews I read before checking in were very accurate. The beds were very comfortable. Towels were very thin. Some deep cleaning is needed. I was concerned when I first saw the clientele as they appeared young and noisy drinking and partying on the walkways. But the side of the motel we were at they did not bother us and we actually got a good nights sleep. I am undecided if I would stay again.
I booked this hotel for my husband, who had to spend 5 nights in the area to attend a certification class for our Family owned and Operated Insulation Business. He called when he arrived and this what he noticed right off the bat; He had to stay
in a room BEHIND the hotel, NO ELEVATOR so he had to carry his suitcase and things up a flight of STAIRS. (Note: He has had surgery from a tramatizing neck injury) Cigarette burn holes in the couch, chair and ottoman in his King Size Room and cleanliness was definitely questionable. The room was COLD and it took it 3 hrs to warm up enough for him to sleep. Next Day he calls ... AND; The little 1 cup coffee maker in his room had a hole and the water drained out before he could even get enough coffee to fill a little styrafoam cup. He went to shave and such ... Sink barely drained ... AND HE HARDLY SLEPT BECAUSE THE BED WAS HARD AS SLEEPING ON A GRANITE SLAB! Needless to say he will be spending the other 4 night IN A DIFFERENT HOTEL!!!!
Walking out of my car from the parking lot I was confronted by a biker from the Marion Weasels. He asked me, "You got a problem?" Then another man with an orange shirt came up to the hall when I was going to my room and another man was in the
stairwell. These loosers were from the hotel bar.
I was with my son and could not belive I took him to the seediest hotel I have ever seen. The owner was in the bar and would not come to the desk when I tried to check out and see about a refund. The desk lady was beside herself and in near tears just because she wanted to give a refund but the owner would not leave the bar with the Weasels.
If you are a biker or looking for trouble this is the place to be! If not do not stay here or subject your family to a dirty small room with drunken bikers all over the hotel area.
I left and went to the Quality Inn where some of the employees laughed and said the hotel I just came from had a very bad reputation.
I was all too happy to get into a better hotel and take the loss then to subject myself and son to such a dirty hotel which acts as a hangout for drunken bikers.
