Red Roof Inn Joliet

the location was perfect,close to interstate 80,numerous restaurants,stores and nice surrounding neighborhoods.

there are no amenities ie. breakfast, coffee maker in the room, pool etc. The hotel was clean, quiet, and food is next store. All was ok.

This hotel is in a perfect location. Is also very quiet (can't hear highway noise, or busy street noise). Even with door to room open. Convenient to almost everything Joliet has to offer. Just a few miles from Harrah's (2 turns) and the speedway. Sams Club is across the street. McDonalds, White Castle and other fast food is just down the street. I did miss a coffee pot and iron, which is not included in the rooms. The room we received was exactly as promised. Front desk staff was exceptional! Would we stay again? Yes.

I called ahaed of time a week before an told them I needed a 1st floor nonsmoking room. The person told me they could'nt help me! So I called the morning of check in and said I needed a 1st floor room non smoking and the person said there should'nt be a problem. When I arrived at 8 o'clock there was a problem. After telling [...] floating Manager this had happen two times to me she finally gave me a 1st floor nonsmoking room and told me not to use the safe or I will be charge money. We did not use the safe an was still charged for it at check out. The room was ok except for the crack in the ceiling room 119. I will not be staying ever again at this hotel since I can find something better just by crusing the streets. Tom Schnite

No good

This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The sheets had stains, hair, and cigarette burns, and the mattresses appeared to be refurbished. The floor was sticky and there were flies. Even though I was in a non-smoking room, the smoke from other rooms got so bad that I had to change rooms. The hotel staff acted like I was inconveniencing them for even a small request like extra linens. You get what you pay for at this place (if that).

If you just need a place to sleep its not bad.. It does need a lot of work in the mattress department. Because if the only thing you need is a place to sleep your car might be more comfortable!

It was ok. Our room was at least warm once we got in it. My brother's room was very cold(down the outside hallway). I didn't like the outside stairways, especially the ones on the end with ice on them! The outside balcony hallway also was icy & very cold!

We called a week earlier to reserve a room on the first floor. The attendant said no problem since we already paid for the room.But when we got there late they already sold our room and said we needed to go up to the second floor. After I complained I got a better room on the first floor without paying more for it.

Great for the price. Was pleasently surprised how nice the room was.
