The Good & Bad
My problems were with the room I was assigned. It obviously was a room converted from smoking to non-smoking; the smoke smell was pretty bad. The shower made a very loud sound in the wall when the hot water was used; this made for cool showers. No offer was made to change my room. I was given a $10 credit to use. The in-room coffee pot had not been cleaned from the previous use. There was a daily charge for Wi-Fi; obviously being a casino, you weren't meant to stay in your room. Overall, except for the room rate being very comparable to other locations & the price for breakfasts, the hotel experience was not very satisfying.

Great stay at the Harrah's.
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was surprised how nice the hotel was with the price we paid for it. The room was neat and clean. I loved being within walking distance of downtown Joliet as well.

Unbeatable location and atmosphere for t
The Location is Downtown Joliet, Il. The atmosphere in the casino was nice and friendly, and the staff and the front desk people were excellent; and the room was big and always clean.

would ber great if we had hot water
our stay would have been great if we could have taken a shower. The entire hotel was without hot water when we woke up in the morning. It did not get fixed before we had to check out. It is hard to start the day without a shower.

The casino was fun, but odds are not good. Don't expect to win much. Unlike Las Vegas, you have to buy your drinks when you are gambling.

Wonderful place for a getaway.
The hotel staff was very friendly. They gave us sugguestions on resurants to visit and some of the towns historical locations to see as well, we even hung out with some of the locals and a popular night spot, McBrodeys. My job (husband) requires travel all across the US and Canada, staying at some of the finest hotels, but this stay ranks at the top of the list. I was glad my wife and I spent our six year anniversay at the hotel and casino and have already discussed making a return trip. As we left the town of Joilet we made several more stops one we really enjoyed was the Old Joilet Prision, very interesting. What a great anniversary. Maybe on our next visit we will have better luck at the casino.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
All the folks in and around Joilet were really friendly, just like we are in the south.
