I will recommend this hotel to everyone!! The staff was very kind and friendly. My overall experience was Great!!

I must say that this hotel is very nice as were everyone of the staff with whom I interacted. I have almost nothing bad to say about the hotel, the room I had, nor anything bad about the staff as a whole. Everything was perfect ... until the morning I left. During my stay, I made 4 local phone calls from my room. I did not involve the staff so there should be no labor to be accounted for. The charge was small per call - 35 cents. The total charge was also small. The question is, why were there any charges at all for local calls? It makes me wonder what the charges would have been if labor was involved. That is, what would the cost have been had I asked the staff members call cabs for me? That's right, the calls were to the local cab company for rides since I had no car with me on this trip. Really what would the charges been had someone at the hotel called the cabs for me??? While the rest of what I know abut this hotel seems to be very good, I would only recommend this hotel with the stipulation that you ask about the little things before you do them.

Excellent hotel. Recently re-opened so ignore all the reviews before 2012. Only negative was the staff. They weren't as friendly and/or accommodating as you would expect for a place that just re-opened. I would recommend and come back and give them another shot.

Had a business seminar the next day so I stayed over the prior night after long drive. Got there two hours early, yet the staff found a clean, ready room and let me check in. I really appreciated that. Clean, friendly and great location with plenty of pillows. What else can a tired traveller want. Will stay again.

The hotel itself looked nice, but the room was very bare.

The Good – The hotel location was wonderful – right across the street from the Gurnee Mills Mall. The hotel was not crowded. The Bad & The Ugly – Overall, this place needs a lot of work. Most of the carpet was worn, dirty and stained. Of the 2 elevators near our room, one was out of order, the other was frightening – the ride up and down had very jerky stops; the door didn't want to close, then it didn't want to automatically open when someone was trying to enter the elevator as the door was trying to close. In the room: The mattresses were stained; the chairs in the room were stained and didn't match; the refrigerator was missing, but management resolved that issue (the one they brought, the door didn't close all the way and it was full of frost); there was hair in the bathroom; wall paper was coming off the walls; the air-conditioner was loud and hard to regulate; plaster on the ceiling was coming down (the attempted repair job was terrible, there was paint down the wall, on the picture frame and on the carpet. In the pool area: There were NO towels on the rack. Then, it took 30 minutes to get some towels and they only brought out ~15. Some jets in the hot tub didn't work. In the breakfast eating area: There were cobwebs hanging from the walls and windows; there was exposed rotten wood, the bench seats were stained; it was very dirty. I will NOT stay there again!

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were ok. Mine had a large red stain in the carpet, and the tub didn't hold water so baths were out. Also the t.v. had only about 6 channels to choose from. Also only 1 of the elevators worked so it was a bit crowded at times. On the positive side the pool area is open from 5 a.m. till 11 p.m. And it was a good sized pool with hottub. And checkout is at noon rather than 10 or 11 at most places. Also it was very reasonably priced. And great location for a trip to six flags.

breakfast was great, we booked a room with a frig and no frig was in the room when we arrived, we didn't say anthing too late then. Bad part was unattended diapered children in jacuzzi.

The experience was fine. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was amazing and I loved the fact that they had a game room (something my son loves but few hotels have anymore). the breakfast was one of the better in the area. The only complaint that I have would be the upkeep of the hotel. There were broken doors and the beds could use some attention. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this hotel
