BEST WESTERN Gurnee Hotel & Suites

small pool very friendly staff, nice and clsoe to great america which is nice after a long day of screaming!

I was pleasantly surprised with the suite (#317) I got at this hotel. The room was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable and large, and the bathroom was one of the best I've seen in quite a long time. I was visiting family in Waukegan, and it's only about a 15 minute drive away, with much better rates than the places in town. The bathtub was huge and spacious, with a shower with great water pressure, and the staff were quite friendly and knowledgeable. Though the ice machine and the vending machine on our floor did not work, it's a small hotel with three floors, and it wasn't a huge issue to hop into the elevator and go down to floor 1. The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Dale, who I asked for assistance after I had checked out, and later realized I had left my cellphone charger in the room. Housekeeping was able to locate the missing item and I had no problem getting it back. All in all it was an excellent experience!

We blew a fuse 3 times in our stay by simply turning on the bathroom lights, had to "jiggle the cord" on the back of the tv when it would not turn on, found a completely disgusting mattress and worst of all found a cockroach in our room. It was disgusting and I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.

My daughters and I needed a couple of days of just fun and relaxing. This hotel had a pool and hot tub unfortunately during our stay the hot tub was out of service. The staff was very friendly and the guest was hospitable. I had a few issues the complimentary breakfast that's served is a great gesture but has no taste. We left the sign on the door to clean the room and was gone more than 3 hours and cam back and the room was still in shambles. We left again to go swimming and upon returning the room was still dirty. So we sat down to have lunch and play cards and then they came to clean the room. My children was a little disappointed because it didn't have a dvd player. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will come back there at least once a month. At least we know what to bring now.

The food at breakfast left a lot to be desired but everything else was great

Everything was great until I tried to use their WIFI. The signal was very weak and I could not access the web pages I needed to. I got a stronger signal from the hotel next door. I was very impressed by their clean remote for the TV. I never before thought about just how dirty the remote could be.

This was my second stay at this hotel Istayed there in 0ct of this year becuse it is 10 min from six flags . All your eating area is 10 min all shopping is 1o min away the staff is great its pet friendly because i dont trevel without my yorkie. BReafast is great .I ALWAYS get the suites .The beds are comfort rooms are clean its a great place to stay rates are easy on your pocket i stay a week so thats important

We enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was excellent. The pool was a little small, but we still enjoyed it. Everything was pretty clean, found the elevator a little dirty..Rooms were nice and clean. Overall we completely enjoy our stay there.!

We were there during a power outage. The hotel staff was polite, but did little to aid us in getting into our room as they "couldn't do anything without power." Wish they would have comped us as we couldn't use the pool, the weight room, the continental breakfast, or any power the entire stay. I know it's not their fault. Just wish they would have done something to make the situation better for us. Would tell friends about this place as a good location and good price... If there is power.

I went to a Wedding which was very nice. The Hotel was very nice and clean and everyone was so was great. I love it will go there again. All of my trips to Chicago is great. There was nothing missing or at least I couldn't tell.
