Good value, great location
it was a place to stay while I was visiting St. Louis for a few days. It had a clean bed and a shower, all I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful; you couldn't ask for better. The key card needed to be re-programmed every day; that could've been better. The hotel is close to (practically shares a parking lot with) a number of restaurants for various breakfasts (I wouldn't bother with the hotel's free one), lunches, and dinners. Close also to the St. Clair County shopping district; if you forgot to pack anything, you won't have to go far to replace it. The St. Louis metro is a short drive away so you can skip the bridge traffic across the Mississippi River. (There also is apparently a bus that can take you to the metro from the hotel lot.)

Cahokia Mounds is an interesting morning, for archaeology-minded visitors. About 20 minutes from the hotel.

Great, convenient location
We had tickets to a Cardinals game,but did not like the idea of driving into St. Louis. The Super 8 we stayed at was close to the metro as well as convenience stores,a mall, and a good selection of restaurants. The price was competitive. The employees were very friendly. The only negative was that the room was cold. The thermostat was set too low for us, but warmed up quickly. Over all very satisfied. Will stay again.

St. Claire Mall is very close and has many well known stores. A great shopping experience. A Metro Bus will pick you up a few steps from the hotel and take you there and back for a low price.

Extremely disappointed...floors had hair on them in bathroom....bathroom sink had cracks in it....carpet needed cleaning..... Was told by [...]the motel was within walking distance to the Mall.....not so....it was across lanes of Freeway....the room was so hot couldn't sleep, finally opened window...unable to turn heat down....bed and pillows extremely hard....probably not going to another Super 8.

Visiting couple
Not bad, but needs improvement
We were visiting family in the area, and basically just needed a clean room for sleeping and bathing. The hotel provided that, so we were satisfied. However, we checked in on a holiday, housekeeping wasn't there, and our room wasn't clean. The situation was rectified the following day. The outside trash cans were never emptied the entire weekend, there were no extra pillows available, and night staff seemed to have no ability to deal with guest requests. Overall customer service and cleanliness needs improvement, even for an inexpensive hotel.

Thanksgiving trip to brother's house
Basically good. Weather Channel was not working on the in-room TV. Minimal breakfast choices.

Not the best by far
The hotel was in a good location. Close to resturants and a mall. Just off the freeway. It was clean but there was a smell in the room. My husband thought it was mold. It was pretty strong when you first walked in. I would not stay there again. We are returning to fairview heights but we will try the four points by sheraton. Willing to pay extra.

A Good place for the Price
Hotel was average (room size, clean, free breakfast,etc...), Service road had deep pot-holes in it, but overall it served it purpose and the staff was very frindly..

Reasonable
Decent for the money... Basically a tidy and well located bed with a roof over your head. Good for a few nights' stay, but definitely not for those expecting anything extraordinary. Oh, and what they describe as a "complimentary breakfast" is a breakfast in name only- go across the street to the Bob Evans and you'll eat well for not alot...

Nothing fancy but got the job done
Hotel is nicely kept. Rooms are clean. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping.
