Ramada Fairview Heights/St. Louis Area

The super friendly and helpful staff made an ordinary hotel special. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was average and the fitness room could use some new equipment. It was a bit of a drive from the airport but being close to Latawata Creek Restaurant and the Mall was nice. I would stay there again.

We picked this hotel because it was cheap and close to the St. Louis Attractions. I would not pick this hotel again as it was not very clean and the free breakfast was not so good either.

We decided last minute to stay for the night in Fairview...great bargain. The lobby was nice, room slightly outdated but absolutely functional, bathroom floor a little dirty but we had no kids with us so not that big of a deal. Great value, also connected to a TGIFriday's....very convienent! Staff was very friendly and helpful, we forgot a couple of necessities in haste and they supplied them all.

Staying here isn't like staying at a five star hotel but it'll do if your coming in town to take care of any type of business or if you just need a decent place to stay while you're in town. The staff is friendly, the rooms aren't bad, the free breakfast is pretty decent, and the price is good. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean and I had enough towels. But the other group that booked with me was not satisfied. One of their rooms door was broken upon check-in. The other guest's toilet was running all of the five days that we stayed there, even though we promptly reported it numerous times. They also had us booked for a smoking room even though I clearly booked non-smoking.

The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable. I don't sleep that good at home!! Great place to stay for a great price.

I have to say that when we first arrived to our hotel and walked in the lobby we were a little apprehensive about its appearance. The lobby, although very well kept and clean was a little old fashioned. Our room was not how we expected either. The hotel would benefit well from a more modern update. However, we made it what it was and by the end of the night our stay in St. Louis was remarkable. The buffet is quite appetizing and plentiful, the pool was ok along with the exercising room. Having a restaurant on site was awesome too! The surrounding restaurant was great as well. Overall, I give this hotel along with the location a good 3.

I had read other reviews that said this hotel needed to be updated, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. The other reviews were right: The decor looked at least 25 years old, the room and hallways were dark and dingy, and the elevator was slow and rickety. Despite all that, it was quiet and relatively comfortable, and I felt like it was a decent value for the price. My biggest complaint was the small, lumpy pillows.
