The hotel that helped me start from Illinois and meet someone very special

I first arrived to the Ramada O'Hare on April 23rd at night, a rainy night. Drenched from head to dress shoes, I was lucky accompanied by a good friend of mine and my girl. Janice, the front desk receptionist took me in and checked me into a non-smoking room upon request. It couldn't have been easier and it turns out that I was witnessing the humbleness of Janice each morning as well as manager Jeanie over the next few days at the hotel. Both Janice and Jeanie were great hosts, I will always be grateful to them. I was mainly at the Ramada O'Hare to visit a girl that I had been waiting to see for two years. I also came to Illinois to visit two open houses for medical school. Though, I also made trips to see around the Illinois suburbs around the area like Schaumberg, Hanover Park, and Bartlett. As far as what was available, I did not even explore all of my options there, as there was a pool as well as hot tub section, a sauna room, and exercise room. Yet I was comfortable with my nights of sleep, that's what mattered to me most. This was my first trip to Illinois and stay at the Ramada O'Hare but I will always remember it, due to such a nice hospitality from the staff members. Even past the AM, the front desk employee, Dan, a very kind old man was open to conversation and we also got acquainted with each other -- I'm sure it's not because he was a New Yorker too, haha! I enjoyed my time at the Ramada O'Hare and if you ask me, would you come back? Yes, .. I must and will do so again because it's always nice to bridge connections with people in places you've never been to, in that way, your transition into the state or area.. will be that much more complete and easier. Will be visiting again.

Watch for mice!!!

The mouse in our garbage sealed the deal and we had to leave. The room was okay but don't look under the bed, trash and orange peels. Tile was missing from the bathroom walls. Paper thin walls, could easily hear the TV in the room next to ours. When we called about the mouse in the room they told us they could have someone there in 20 minutes. There is no force on this planet that would get me to stay at a Ramanda again.

Such nice people

It's a great value and all were nice and helpful. It's a bit far from the airport, 20 min, but they are very nice about the shuttle.

Mixed bag

It seems that the motel was originally high concept (indoor pool/solarium) but is pretty shopworn now. The room was fine, quiet and comfortable. An old TV set and noisy bathroom fan suggested minimal spending on improving the facility. It was a bit further from O'Hare than I thought and not many restaurants, etc nearby.

Another Average Hotel

This was an average room in an average hotel. My only complaint was that the room was too hot even with the heat off. When I went to open the window there were no screens.

Not bad for the price

Pleasant stay if you have kids. Pool and play area are a great bonus for family stays. The hottub wasn't working properly and the water temp was less the ideal. Rooms were decent, but the beds were rather hard, and no refrigerator in room. Also, the restaurant wasn't open.
