Noisy School Party
Would have been better if not for the noisy, rude party of school children who thought the hotel was their own private play pen for toddlers

Frustrated with Employee
Some Unhelpful Staff
There were problems with one of the front desk employees concerning pick ups from the airport. There was no one to go to on the problem. I did not get a sense that there would be accountability regarding the employee's attitude (ignorance that can't be wrong in power). The management was spotty, particularly in terms of being willing to be flexible with regulars. Something is wrong with the way the hotel is being managed.

Frustrated with Employee
Bottom Line
From my experience, the front desk staff are in general too inflexible, even concerning regular customers. Whether in negotiating on a room rate to retain a regular or sending a van over to the airport, certain staff members were "full of their own authority." ...without a manager necessarily on site to appeal to.

Front Desk Needs Training
Pretty average place. I had reserved a smoking room, but that didn't show up on my reservation. She said in order to give me one, because I booked through this website, it would change the rate - even though she just got off of the phone with someone who was going to get a walk in rate at $20 lower than what I had booked. Also, I went out to my car for seven minutes. As the weather was 15 degrees outside I did not take my small dog. When I came back the front desk person said the "phone was ringing off the hook" about my pet whining. Seriously? I was in a room at the end of the hall with two possible rooms occupied around me. She was on the phone alot, too, when I would go down there. Nice place, good location for O'Hare but customer service and empathy was lacking.

Hotel is far from airport. As we arrive late at night, there was no bottled water for sale.
