Extended Stay America - Chicago - O'Hare - North

Luckily we were just staying here for a short overnight before an early morning flight out of O'Hare, because I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. Great that the room had a fridge, but there was a lot to be desired about the room's cleanliness. When we walked in, the window was wide open and it was freezing inside (probably an attempt to air out the weird smell in the room--didn't work), and it was obvious that no one had wiped down any of the surfaces in the room (sticky globs of stuff smeared on the night stand and dining table--they came off when I wiped them with a towel--as well as on the sides of the toilet. Ew. There were several long dark hairs in the sheets when I pulled back the covers, and the bathroom towels were the same way. Luckily we got in late and were leaving early--hadn't planned to shower anyway. Location to airport was perfect, but I wouldn't stay here again except in a pinch.

I stayed one night at the Extended Stay America, and it was my first time using this chain. I had late check-in, but the room was clean and comfortable. In fact I would rate the room as large plenty of room for added luggage or items or people. The Kitchenette was clean and everything worked well. Wifi connection was easily accessed. I will definately consider using again for an extended business or family travel hotel. Price was very reasonable for the area, and access to roads, stores, conference centers, and shopping areas hassle free.

I booked this for a non-smoking room. When I arrived the desk clerk said for reservations made via Orb that the non-smoking listing was only a "suggestion" to them, so I got a stinky smoking room as they said they were "sold out" A piile of incoming folks were on the counter, so I guess someone else was given my non-smoking room. Clerk would do nothing about it. The carpet was stained and the room was less than clean. Stunk like smoke. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you stay here, none is provided or available. This hotel was like staying at the "lights on for you" chain - but without the ammenities even they provide. I will avoid this place in the future.

With a low price, shuttle to O'Hare, and ability to prepare food in the room, this is the best value for people needing to stay near O'Hare and keep the cost down. Use the shuttle to O'Hare to access the Blue Line downtown.

This was Extended Care America, which should say it all. Nothing luxurious, but you feel much more at home. Rooms are large, there is an arm chair to read in, shuttle service, and of course a kitchen area. No spa at this one and any eating or shopping outside the room requires about a four block walk. Good place to just rest your head until your flight or of course for and extended stay.

It is a convenient location since it is along the freeway. I like the mini kitchen. The room is not properly sound proofed though. I can hear people playing like basketball or something on the second floor. It gives me a headache throughout the night.

A beautiful suite, and a great hotel. The kitchenette was beautiful and had everything that we needed plus a full size fridge. The room was very spacious, 2 desks, an easy chair and a very comfy queen size bed. We travel to Chicago a lot, and this hotel was closer to both places that we were going to, as well as close to the highways, so we will definitely stay here again! [...]

We did nothing more than sleeping, cooking instant food and packing up baggage. Our trip will be better if there's free wi-fi in guest rooms. Plus, we are looking forward more frequent shuttle buses to the airport. At Wyndham Newark, there is free wi-fi, although signal is poor; there is shampoo and body butter; their shuttle bus to the transit station is 20min inteval.

Cups in the bathroom and shampoos would have been nice.
