Motel 6 Danville Il

We had a good night stay at Danville Inn & Convention Center. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were cleaned and beds were comfortable. We liked all right after the recent renovations. Front desk staff was very helpful and ready to help with smile. This Hotel is conveniently located right off I 74 that keeps you right ON and OFF the highway in no time. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family passing by Danville.

Rooms were quiet comfort and clean. This Hotel just open up after renovations and looks like a light occupancy but rooms were perfect for the price that we have paid.

The bathroom was filthy, rusted out tub, rust ring in toilet, no screens in any faucet or drain, just open to lose jewelry or anything down! Gave you the creeps. S'posed to be non-smoking, but we were rudely wakened each morning by strong cigaret smoke smell and people leaving for work, who were our next door RESIDENTS, complete with grill to cook on, on the tailgate of pick-up truck backed to the door. we were the only other customers there. Broken glass in parking lot and empty beer cartons on sidewalk. Just a very unpleasant experience to say the least. The coffee pot was stained with residue of coffee from last customer, never washed and the coffee maker was dirty. There was no mattress pad on mattress, only a thin sheet to sleep on. Scarey!! It said "Convention Center" so we assumed it would be a nice place, WRONG!! Martins

I'm sorry to say that I was definately fooled by the pictures they had online! The hotel looks nothing like the pictures and it was definately owned by a different owner. The room was pretty awful. I literally walked in and back out. I ended up across the street in a different hotel. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, I thought I was getting a deal and ended up with a HOT MESS!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel during a family reunion but we didn't get what was advertised on the web site. We pulled up to the place and we thought it was abandoned! It doesn't look anything like it does in the pictures. The outside pool was unusable, the premises were not well kept, there was an overflowing of garbage at the dump, there were a couple of bugs in our room. We had booked two nights and decided to stay the second night just because we didn't want to search for another hotel where we could have our dog. We won't be staying here again!

The bed was uncomfortable, the room had an unsanitary smell, the bathroom was nasty and other occupants kept me awake partying all night!!!!!!!!

[...] the room was dirty, paint peeling, old carpet, Towel rack in bathroom about to fall off wall. Room was cold, The Bed was too hard n flat, no good mattress on the Bed. I did not stay the night in this hotel, I left, n will never stay at this Hotel.

I drove by the hotel as it didn't look like it was even in operation. The photos on the website must be 10-20 years old and there's been little upkeep since then. They tried to charge additional fees for everything you can think of so I'm lucky to have brought my [...] confirmation receipt along for proof of what I paid for. Pet fee is $10 per dog per night. When they told me of this fee, I said I'd leave my pets in the car (weather permitting)and they lowered it to $5 per dog per night just to try to get that extra buck. Since it was non-refundable, I put up with it. The toilet did not work and I asked them to check it out only to come back to a toilet full of paper. They never even offered to move us to a different room. We had to walk to the lobby to use the restroom and it's kept locked overnight. Free breakfast only consists of a box of powdered donuts. All of the other hotels in the near vacinity were full, yet this hotel only had about 3 rooms booked...for obvious reasons. I will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Was traveling with my 82 year old mother, and we were put into a room in the courtyard, around the back of building thru a dark breezeway to get to our room, when clearly there were rooms available up front.

This hotel has changed hands and the new owners have let it go very badly. The room, bathroom, furniture and carpet was filthy. You could not take off your shoes or sit on the bedspread. There was fecal material in the toilet. No one else was booked into the hotel when we left and we know why. [...]rebook at a Best Western next door, which felt like a luxury hotel by comparison. For $20 extra, go to the Best Western you won't be sorry! We have traveled extensively in the US and Europe sometimes staying in not-so-great hotels and are used to roughing it, but this was the worst ever (in 35 years of travel). The place had clean sheets and towels but everything else, even the remote control, was covered in a layer of black grime.Stay away from this hotel.
