Everything was great!
The room and the motel itself proved to be just right for this trip. The room was clean and met our needs. The hotel and grounds were equally clean. the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was just right for the event we attended. With one exception, it was no more than 15 minutes to every place we visited over the weekend.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
We had the opportunity to dine at Tony's Steakhouse in Alton, IL one evening. It is a bit pricy, but the portions are generous and the food excellent! Well worth the drive to get there.

Wet Bed Mystery
Check in was quick & simple. We got there about 7:00 P.M. and dropped off our bags in the room and then went to look for something to eat. There is something for almost everyone in Collinsville. We came back to the room and watched a little TV before we decided to get ready for sleep. We had a room with two queen beds for the three of us. As my wife pulled back the covers on her side of the bed she sat down and quickly jumped back up. There was a huge wet spot on one side of the bed about where someone's pelvic area would be during sleep. We double checked the bed spread and the blanket and they were both dry. There wasn't a housekeeper on duty at that time of night and the front desk said there weren't any other rooms available. The lady at the front desk helped me change the sheets and the mattress pad but the mattress underneath was still wet so my wife and daughter slept on one bed (which the sheet kept coming off of) and I slept (not well) on the dry side of the wet bed. Also, the fire alarm in the room kept beeping randomly during the night. The next morning the General Manager ([...]) said he would look into how such a thing (wet bed) could happen. [...] He did offer another nights stay at his location but we won't be returning to that place.

Don't bother stopping there. So far, the best part of that trip was leaving that hotel.

Clean, close to St. Louis, friendly staff
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to St. Louis yet in the country away from the hustle bustle. Many restaurants were near by and a Wal-Mart was close if you needed anything. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. It was very clean.

1st Class All the way
This Days Inn was absolutly wonderful. The front desk personel helped out by printing driving instructions to several locations we wanted to visit. The rooms were so wonderful, they were more than a home away from home. They were relaxing and comfortable, we didn't want to leave.

Just down the street from this wonderful hotel is a great BBQ steak house that is just to die for. They serve 6 different BBQ sauces to please just about anyone. Bandana BBQ is the best.
