theWit Chicago - A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Really enjoyed my stay at theWit over the weekend. The Spa King room was great. Plenty of space, great views, nice bathroom with spa tub and large shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is my favorite hotel in chicago for the value.

The photos of this hotel make it look like something special, which it is not. Unless you are on the highest floors you will see nothing when facing State street. REally nothing special about the place, does not appear as new as it is. One of the resturants was closed when visiting. The Club, Roof, was unimpressive, and tiny with a mediocre view. Just wasy too small ofa space for a club, no atmosphere and the staff could care less. I would not return, nor recommend this Hotel.

This is a great hotel which is directly beside the Orange Line at State and Lake. So for those coming into downtown from Midway, this is perfect. The staff and management are outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was impressed by the friendly staff and great amenities.

We have stayed at this hotel before, we had a beautiful room and everything was great. This time we had a tiny room and 3 people in it. The rooms on your site all had the same descriptions, so it was very confusing, and I am super upset that I payed so much for a tiny room. The hotel had no other rooms to move us to, and pretty much said it's not their problem your site had bad descriptions.

Hotel was nicely decorated with a modern look. Restaurant had good food (although the waiter tried to rip us off by "accidently" not returning the full correct amount in change - by $10). Rooftop bar had a young vipe, so we walked through but didn't stay since we are well past our 20's. Wit is right next door to the historic Chicago Theatre and Macy's! Shopping and great restaurants all within walking distance. Our car remained parked the whole weekend and we enjoyed Chicago with our feet. We would stay there again!

My girlfriends and I loved our stay at theWit. The room was clean and well-appointed. The bedding was lovely. The location was fantastic: well-within walking distance to the shops on State St. and Michigan Ave., close to dining options and right next to a train stop. The concierge, Kim, helped us make appointments for a boat tour, going above and beyond to create a personalized map of the city for us. She even made a reservation for lunch at one of her top spots, which was delicious. The staff also checked our bags twice: once when we arrived before check-in and once when we checked out before our flight. Everyone was extremely helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay!

The hotel was excellent, with great amenities. Restaurants were really good. Rooftop was a great place to relax and have drinks. The KingSpa was very comfortable with an amazing view. Would definitely stay again!

The Hotel was gorgeous. Great location! loved the roomlinx to check bill on tv. However, they over charged me in the restaurant (which was charged to my room). The front desk over charged me. The manager did take care of the over charges and credited me some money for the all my trouble (which was nice). Overall expierence with the staff was awful. Loved my room, was clean and comfortable. I would give them another try. However, I think I got a great price through orbitz and def would use orbitz again.

Pricey, but it was worth it! Suite Room was on 26th floor, right below their great rooftop lounge. Views on all three sides were amazing! Celebrating a special occasion, they easily took care of my request to have champagne on ice and fresh fruit waiting in our room. Go early if you want to see the sun set from the rooftop lounge, as it is a popular spot. Bed was luxurious, too!
