All business for Printers Row hotel in Chicago
A short walk to the Board of Trade, this Printers Row hotel caters to the business traveler, but tourists fancying a walk around the Loop will find its location convenient and less congested. Architectural buffs will appreciate its historic location and origin as the Morton and Duplicator building home. But the Wyndham Hotel Blake’s connections to the 19th Century end there. For proof, look to modern rooms with city views.Highlights
- Free high-speed wireless Internet access
- iPod alarm clocks in all rooms
- 24-hour fitness center
Rooms
Rooms at the Wyndham Hotel Blake feel more like a Loop residence than a hotel thanks to 12-foot vaulted ceilings, windows that fill the space with natural light and lovely city views. Neutral and red tones complement dark wood headboards and nightstands. Oversized rainshower heads in the bathrooms add to the luxury. High-speed and wireless Internet is available free in all rooms.Features
With deadlines to meet and presentations to run, professionals are short on time. Fitting in time for a great meal or scheduling time for some pampering are often out of the question. At the Wyndham Hotel Blake, both amenities are arranged without having to leave the property.
At the end of a long day, arrange for massages and facials using the Pangea Organics Ecocentric Skincare and Body Line. Expecting moms request a Baby on Board Massage, performed in the side-lying position to alleviate back tension.

Comfortable Bed, Friendly Staff
Check in and out was easy, room was clean and comfortable. Loud street noise woke us up on several occasions. No in-room movies.

Great family getaway to the windy city
We went to all the tourist spots Chicago is known for. We also watched a Bulls game and a broadway show at the Bank of America Theatre. The trip was better than we all expected. Our room was nice, although the lobby was a little bit small and the continental breakfast was served there. Adding more food choices will be better for the hotel. Front desk folks were not really friendly. They only talked to us when we had questions but didn't get that "friendly" feeling from them. The hotel location was perfect, that's the plus side of it. It was good experience, but not better than what we had in the past.

Experience fine dining with menu that is hard to pronounce, very foreign sounding to us. Food was really good but the portions of meals were like "samples"; really small like a kid's meal. It's a good experience but be prepared to spend a lot at Custom House Tavern as it's really pricey.

Very comfortable at fabulous price
We are a well travelled couple taking our children to US for first time - one a diabetic. Found the breakfast quite limiting for him not enough on offer. Staff were not friendly in helping us/recommending us eating places as first time in Chicago. Rooms were extremely spacious very accomodating, luxurious and comfortable. Check in was not efficient- booked on net hotel did not have same info

Great Service Average Rooms
The room was small not much room to walk around. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was TINY (the door didn't open all the way). I would definitely stay their again when visiting and going out clubbing with friends. The front desk employees were very friendly and the continental breakfast was DELICIOUS. And their is a Starbucks right around the corner. Overall for the price it was a good deal/room.

No Refrigerator
We really liked the location of the hotel - it was close to everything we wanted to do. The biggest disappointment for us was that there was no refrigerator in the room. When traveling you eat out a lot AND HAVE LEFT OVERS! We were disappointed that we couldn't bring them back to enjoy later. Also the shower was one of those "rain" showers and there was no tub (fine with me). Finally, it was also surprising that their "business center" only had one computer and it was pretty slow.

Nice room, nice people
We had two rooms, one king and one with 2 queen beds. The king room had a large bathroom with double sinks. Nice touch that I've not seen in most hotels. Each had a spacious shower, no tub. That was fine with us. The granite counter tops in the bathroom are installed at a height that is not short-person-friendly. At 5 feet nothing, I could barely reach the sink. It made the tall folks in the family happy, though. The services were minimalistic but adequate (i.e. no fridge, paper cups, tiny closet). Continental breakfast was included. The fitness center was nice, but it got crowded at 7:30AM. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if there hadn't been so much remodeling going on in the elevator lobbies (paper hanging, scaffolding, etc.) and door banging by other guests late, late into the night. They should put soft-close hinges on the doors.

The Restaurant attached to the hotel (Courthouse Tavern) is a white tablecloth place for dinner. If you're tired or arriving late, they serve until 10PM. The food and service were excellent.

Overpriced Ordinary
The hotel is no better than I would expect for 1/5 the price in Podunk, however, I needed a room in the south Loop. You are paying for downtown room and not for the quality of the room. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, just that I would normally expect much more for the price.

Weekend Travel
The room was spacious, however, it had not been dusted in some time. There also appeared to be some mold on the shower tiles and one of my trash cans had not been emptied when I checked in. The bedding and towels were nice. The 24 hour fitness center was clean and free. The space was nice; it had the usual equipment. Resterant was attached and coffee shop across the street. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The business center had only one computer and a very old screen, fine for checking in on line, but bring your own computer if you want anything else (free wi-fi).
