All business for Printers Row hotel in Chicago
A short walk to the Board of Trade, this Printers Row hotel caters to the business traveler, but tourists fancying a walk around the Loop will find its location convenient and less congested. Architectural buffs will appreciate its historic location and origin as the Morton and Duplicator building home. But the Wyndham Hotel Blake’s connections to the 19th Century end there. For proof, look to modern rooms with city views.Highlights
- Free high-speed wireless Internet access
- iPod alarm clocks in all rooms
- 24-hour fitness center
Rooms
Rooms at the Wyndham Hotel Blake feel more like a Loop residence than a hotel thanks to 12-foot vaulted ceilings, windows that fill the space with natural light and lovely city views. Neutral and red tones complement dark wood headboards and nightstands. Oversized rainshower heads in the bathrooms add to the luxury. High-speed and wireless Internet is available free in all rooms.Features
With deadlines to meet and presentations to run, professionals are short on time. Fitting in time for a great meal or scheduling time for some pampering are often out of the question. At the Wyndham Hotel Blake, both amenities are arranged without having to leave the property.
At the end of a long day, arrange for massages and facials using the Pangea Organics Ecocentric Skincare and Body Line. Expecting moms request a Baby on Board Massage, performed in the side-lying position to alleviate back tension.

good value in Chicago loop area
I arrived late at night and was warmly welcomed by a very friendly doorman. The registration clerk was efficient. My room was ample in terms of size. I was most pleased with the decoration style which was attractive and comfortably elegant, in a warm brown color scheme. The bathroom was good-sized, with a large counter and walk-in shower. Important to me, the wireless internet connection was easy to initialize and free. The only disappointment was the complete lack of view from my room. An issue for some persons might be the location which is toward the edge of the loop area. A benefit was that the nearest parking garage was cheaper than ones closer in.

Good value!
Although Blake was the cheapest I could find for three stars, any three stars couldn't be nicer! A nice sandwich place is right next to the building and Starbucks is on the other side of the street. Besides, very close to CTA station.

Fabulous place in Printer's alley
I can't say enough good things about this Hotel. What a surprise; amazingly clean, elegant, up to date hotel; the room was really big, and the king bed was enormous and comfortable. The staff were super-friendly and efficient, and the hotel experience was an A +++, and for any of you that travel to NYC, you'll know that a place like this would cost 3-4 times what it cost in Chicago. The ONLY drawback was the neighborhood. totally safe, etc, and there is a Starbuck's on the corner, but I would have prefer to stay in a place that had more pubs and restaurants closer. But this is a minor quibble; the hotel itself is a winner...

Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Blake
Blake Hotel was as comfortable as the other hotel although the room was smaller and it was 3 blocks West of Michigan Avenue. Then again, it was closer to Grant Park and the Theater District. All in all I had a great stay and the staff was extremely friendly.
