All business for Printers Row hotel in Chicago
A short walk to the Board of Trade, this Printers Row hotel caters to the business traveler, but tourists fancying a walk around the Loop will find its location convenient and less congested. Architectural buffs will appreciate its historic location and origin as the Morton and Duplicator building home. But the Wyndham Hotel Blake’s connections to the 19th Century end there. For proof, look to modern rooms with city views.Highlights
- Free high-speed wireless Internet access
- iPod alarm clocks in all rooms
- 24-hour fitness center
Rooms
Rooms at the Wyndham Hotel Blake feel more like a Loop residence than a hotel thanks to 12-foot vaulted ceilings, windows that fill the space with natural light and lovely city views. Neutral and red tones complement dark wood headboards and nightstands. Oversized rainshower heads in the bathrooms add to the luxury. High-speed and wireless Internet is available free in all rooms.Features
With deadlines to meet and presentations to run, professionals are short on time. Fitting in time for a great meal or scheduling time for some pampering are often out of the question. At the Wyndham Hotel Blake, both amenities are arranged without having to leave the property.
At the end of a long day, arrange for massages and facials using the Pangea Organics Ecocentric Skincare and Body Line. Expecting moms request a Baby on Board Massage, performed in the side-lying position to alleviate back tension.

A Lot for a Little
The Blake, in Chicago, is kind of a throwback. It feels very high end though it's cost was not. Large room with a rain forest shower that actually should be called the monsoon shower. Excellent restuarants in easy walking distance.

A Terrific Experience
I can't say enough good things about my friend's and my experience at Hotel Blake on our girls' weekend to Chicago. The Hotel Blake staff was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful - whether we needed a cab, area maps, or recommendations for where to eat in Greek Town. We were able to check in early with no hassles! The room was beautifully decorated, and extremely clean and comfortable. The location was two blocks from the CTA and two blocks from the base of State Street. The hotel is in an older building, but has been recently renovated, so it was like being at a brand new hotel! Both my friend and I were VERY happy!

Great Value
My only gripe was with the guy at the front desk. I stayed there on New Years Eve and it was pretty busy during check in. He kept bickering with the other front desk attendant which I thought it was unprofessional. Other than that it was a nice clean room. It's about as far south as you can get downtown Chicago so it's not the most centralized location but it's still a great value.

The Best Hotel I Have Ever Stayed In!!!
We traveled to Chicago to go to a baseball game at Wrigley Field. This hotel is absolutely beautiful....and so perfectly located to "The Loop"/EL. We traveled everywhere in Chicago for the grand total cost of $14.00 each -- for three whole days! Two Mom's and Two Son's....and we are ready to go back! Want to find out the name of the Hotel Mgmt Company of this hotel -- so I can stay at more of their hotels!!!

perfect location for a getaway weekend
concierge very knowledgable, all staff very helpful with directions and suggested activities. free wi-fi great for looking up local events/restaurant reviews. all requests were quickly fulfilled. Housekeeping staff efficeint. If you are driving to the city, just know up front the valet parking is $39 a night. which is a bargain compared to other hotels @ $50 and we didn't find any garages more reasonable in the vicinity.

Long walk from hotel
We followed Congress to the fountain and then walked along the lake to the navy pier. several opportnities to purchase refreshments along the way. the stained glass exhibit is pleasantly air conditioned and we found several resting places. we found the beer garden offers a full bar and plenty of picnic tables with wonderful views of the boats on the lake. the round trip was close to 7 miles easy walking.

Outstanding
I have traveled to Chicago many times, but on this trip I was unable to get a room at the really nice downtown hotel where I normally stay - so I found the Hotel Blake on Orbitz - and it was simply OUTSTANDING. The staff were all courteous and extremely helpful (especially [...]), the amenities were very nice, the room was exceptionally comfortable, and the location could not have been more convenient. I have found a new home for my future trips to Chicago

Hotel Blake Chicago was AWESOME
Hotel Blake is in a great location, just around the corner from the library and within walking distance of many Chicago attractions. Walking east a half block, then south for several blocks takes you to Buckingham Fountain and from there you can easily get to Millenium Park. What a great time my wife and I had while there, walked everywhere, even to Union Station, with 3 suitcases.

Walk and enjoy Buckingham Fountain, then continue over to Millenium Park. From there you might as well walk to Navy Pier. My wife and I walked from Blake to Navy Pier and back, no problem.

A real gem
I found this place to be a real gem. Ideally located near shopping and theaters with a very helpful and courteous staff. While accomodations are not as lavish as some more prestigious hotels, they were more than adequate for our needs.
