Hints and tips

It s been argued that the best views of the whole city are from the 96th ladies restroom in the Willis Tower - although the best that the hotel owns are usually found at the corner suites on the upper floors. Don t forget to end the day with a classic deep-dish Chicago pizza pie at Gino's East!

Neighborhood

The Warwick Allerton Hotel Chicago is located on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue), with the eclectic art galleries of the River North neighborhood to the west and Lake Michigan to the east. It s only a few blocks to the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, but the Downtown area itself is known for its architectural stylings; glide around on a Segway tour to see buildings from Chicago s past like the unusual crenelated Water Tower.

The worst customer service

Would not recommend Tue, Jan 5, 2016
They never gave me the receipt and said that they would mail it to me. Despite multiple calls and I even sent an email to the email on their website (possibly customer service) they never sent me the receipt of the stay.

Get Away-Baseball Opening Day

Would recommend Fri, Jan 1, 2016
My husband and I came to Chicago for Baseball's opening day. The hotel was beautifully located. We were in walking distance to everything!! They had staff onsite to arrange activities while we were there. The rooms were a bit small and cozy, just enough room for a couple. Staff was very accommodating and allowed us to stay longer in our room due to our flight being delayed. The gym facilities provided not only towels but headphones. A nice little touch. We would definitely stay again!!

review

It was a great room, just what I wanted. There was the sound of traffic all the time, but that couldn't be helped. I wanted to be downtown. I wish they -- like all hotels I have been at before -- offered wifi free. The waits were rather long, both for checking in and for the checked luggage but nothing terrible.

Business and Pleasure

Would recommend Thu, Nov 19, 2015
The Warwick is an excellent hotel, located in the Miracle Mile area. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. The room was very comfortable. My only complaint is that the carpeting could use a good steam-cleaning.

Stay at Allerton

Would not recommend Fri, Oct 23, 2015
We stayed there cause we did not find anything at the last minute. Given a choice, we would not stay there. Some of the receptionists seemed rude (some were okay). If you call their main phone line they sometimes take forever to pick up the phone. No internet in room unless you pay for it and even the free service in lobby did not work. Not sure if this is kind of the overall standard for Chicago downtown hotels but not my first choice of stay.

Chicago trip

Would recommend Mon, Oct 12, 2015
The Warwick is a nice hotel overall in the heart of downtown Chicago on a great strip off of Michigan ave. Shops abound and plenty of restaurants (Gino's East and Giordano's Pizza walking distance). However parking is at a garage next door which makes unloading baggage very inconvenient and very expensive. $50+/night.
