Nice hotel in the best neighborhood

Very clean and beautiful hotel, in the heart of Chicago's Miracle Mile shopping district. Next to the Hancock Tower, Michigan Ave, and Ditka's steakhouse. Very short walk down to the Loop. Large variety of interesting clubs, restaurants right next door. Hotel staff is very helpful, and rooms are spotless, and have new, fresh decor.

Awesome in Chicago!

A group of four friends were in Chicago to celebrate a 50th birthday. We covered the entire city in just under four days and the Whitehall staff really helped make it happen. Outstanding and personal service, superb location, fantastic rooms, unbelievable deal for the terrific property and caliber of rooms, and simply splendid overall. It was one of the better places we've stayed and rated right up there with other boutique hotels we've enjoyed. I've already stated that I will return to the Whitehall when I visit Chicago again and you can be sure that will definitely happen!

The Whitehall is an unbelievable location with almost immediate access to so many key things that make a Chicago trip what it can be--Rush Street is right there, you're right around the corner from the Hancock Building and Water Tower Place as well as other features on the Magnificent Mile/Michigan Avenue, great eats and sites are handy, transportation is readily available, and the hub for specific tourist interests are nearby as well. It's the perfect location!

Fabulous

This hotel was in a great location one block from the heart of the Magnificent Mile. There were lots of unique eating opportunities a quick walk away. The concierge and the bellman were very helpful in suggesting places to go and how to get there. Our room was beautifully decorated and the fourposter bed was extremely comfy!

Great Trip!

We arrived around noon and were just hoping to drop our bags off. The staff was very friendly and attentive and allowed us to check in three hours early. The location is great. Everything you want or need is within walking distance. There is new central air. There was construction going on in the vacant rooms next to us. It was during the day and we were in and out of the room anyway. It was definately tolerable. On my next trip to Chicago, I will check availability with the Whitehall first.

Before shopping for souvenirs , I would check the local pharmacys for the best deals on shirts, hats, magnets, whatever it is that you are looking for. We stopped by Walgreens on our way out and I could have saved a ton of money.

Great Hotel

We love the Whitehall. This was our 2nd trip here and we brought along another couple. Their room was just as lovely as ours. Very professional-helpful staff. We love the historical feel of the rooms, yet all the modern upgrades you need.

The Whitehall Hotel

My friend and I were looking for a place to stay in Chicago and only being 20, we had a hell of a time trying to find a hotel with a minimum check-in age of 18. I was so excited when I found this hotel, the location is amazing and the room was beautiful. The staff was very courteous and respectful, and it was greatly appreciated. At no time did I feel as if I was treated differently because of my age. The room itself was picture perfect, we were surprised by how nice it really was. We could see the Magnificent Mile out our window and the hotel is in walking distance of countless restaurants and attractions. We couldn't have asked for more.

Perfect, perfect, perfect

I could not have asked for a better experience. Through Orbitz I was able to book a "junior suite" for a fraction of what it would normally cost. The king size bed was sumptous.. soft sheets, feather topper, lots and lots of pillows. Spacious bathroom, marble floor. HUGE room with desk, small sofa, dresser with large mirror. Ice service was delivered to the room every day, or upon request which was a nice touch. Staff was exceedingly nice, helpful, concierge was wonderful. They are updating the rooms at the Whitehall - replacing air conditioning with central air. There was a note stating that in the room and saying that there may be noise from 9-5 during the weekdays. I appreciated the warning but I honestly heard very little disruption while I was in the room. This is a historical, boutique hotel so I was expecting some disappointments due to age but I can't think of one.
