Great tourist hotel
The Whitehall Hotel was exactly what my husband and I needed for our 10th wedding anniversary trip. The room was comfortable and the bed was magnificent! We used CTA the entire time we were there and the bus picked up right around the corner. We have been in Chicago before at a 4-star hotel downtown and this was far superior. We will always choose the Whitehall when we are in Chicago.

Great Location
Great for the price, right in the heart of Chicago's shopping area. While I was working during the day, my wife had plenty to do without even getting in a cab. Rooms were a little small, but bed was super comfortable. Staff was nice and very accomodating. Car parking was expensive.

Location, Location, Location
The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago was conveniently located next to the Magnificent Mile. From the Hotel you were a 1 minute walk to the Hancock Building and to some of the best shopping you can find in all of America. For a casual dinning experience The Cheesecake Factory is located underneath the Hancock Building and we liked it so much we ate there twice for dinner. I would definetely recommend this Boutique Hotel to anyone with or without a family. We are already talking about when we will be returning to Chicago.

Unique atmosphere/Great location
The Whitehall Hotel was the perfect accommodation for our stay in Chicago. We loved the renovations done to showcase its historical architecture. The room was a bit small but had everything that we needed. The feather bedding and pillows were WONDERFUL! A great place to relax after an all day walk around the city. The location was close to shopping, the El and lots of restaurants/bars on Rush Street.

Great Location and service
The Whitehall Hotel is well situated for those who want to take in the highlights of Chicago. It is within easy walking distance of the historic water tower where one can board one of the free trollys that convey riders to, among other places, the loop, various musieums, and major city parks. The hotel reminds one of a good European hotel. Although the rooms may be smaller than those in some of the major chains, they are comfortable, well maintained, and space is very adequate. The staff is efficient, polite, and makes one feel welccme.
