Gold Coast boutique meets 1920s charm
The Whitehall Hotel manages that rare combination of location and ambiance. The hotel is situated one block from the Magnificent Mile and Rush Street nightlife district, but tucked away from the tourist fray on a residential street. One of Chicago's oldest luxury hotels but certainly no slouch, the Whitehall brims with 19th century elegance -- imagine chandeliers, wood paneling and tufted leather chairs, all restored to match the original European grace and grandeur of this Gold Coast gem.

The location is perfect, it's
The location is perfect, it's very close to John Hancock tower and Michigan Ave. shopping area. Subway Red line wasn't too far, didn't use taxi or anything. The service was pretty good as well. Next time I go to Chicago I would stay there again.

Hancock Bld right around the corner. Must see observation deck. Also, Starbucks down the alley by the hotel offers free Wi-fi.

We love The Whitehall Hotel
We always love staying at The Whitehall Hotel. It is right downtown where we want to be and can walk to most of our favorite destinations. The rooms are a nice size and well maintained. The staff are so helpful and kind. We will always go back.

Excellent hotel
The hotel was a perfect surprise in Chicago. The hotel staff's hospitality was impressive. Greeted with a smile, the answered some of questions, such as, directions and places to eat. The room was clean and fresh. I was able to get two nights of good rest. I truly enjoyed my time there.

This was a great hotel. The perfect location, great view from our room, more than accommodating staff. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere, and the price was great! I will absolutley be back.

So Comfortable!
Being on business trip, you get really tired by the end of the day. Being able to sleep well is really important to feel ready for the next day. THe Whitehall's service was great and the bed was amzingly comfortable.
