staff very nice. comfy bed but room was falling apart. Lamps loose and falling over, brakets + faucet covers loose, holes in walls in bathroom, no "welcome book", no room service menu, missing ice bucket top, tv old and poor reception, limited cable channels and many unused channels showing up as you surf around. needs a little attention to detail to measure up. Crazy phones

Ideal location
Celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Staff was helpful and very polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the location, being so close to Michigan Avenue and other points of interest. We'd stay there again.

Let down
I must admit I had high expectations of this Hotel. Upon arriving I noticed the lobby looked a little rundown. When I got to my room I was quite disappointed. The cabinet that contained the TV was clearly in need of repair or raplacement as the doors barely held on. The curtains in the room were comming loose on one side and a vanity mirror in the bathroom was barely on the wall and it's light feature did not work. I have a hard time believing this was a 4 star hotel.

Great Location and friendly staff
Doormen help you in and out many times a day. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Coffee bar and restaurant. Great location. Bed was comfy and room was clean. A little dated but perfectly fine. Clean. Lacks some amenities like ice machines and vending, but room service brought ice with no complaint. Parking in area is $37.00 on weekends. Much less Sunday through Thrusday. Around 15.

Wonderful location for Weekend Getaway
First visit to The Whitehall Hotel during annual couple’s weekend in Chicago. Room was set up well, allowing for maximum use of the space available. The king bed was very comfortable and welcome after a long, cold day of shopping and related activities. We will certainly include The Whitehall Hotel when evaluating options available for future visits.
