Great Location
We really like Westin Hotels and this was no exception. The location is great. The staff was helpful. I only have two complaints - one is that parking is $59 a day. The other was that the hallway was extremely noisy. There were several families with children there together and they allowed the children to sprint up and down the hallway on Sunday morning at 9:00. We did complain to a staff person from housekeeping and he did ask them to stop.

Long walk from hotel
If you want to get into a Rick Bayless restaurant and you do not have a reservation you can stand in line outside the restaurant and starting at 5:00 they will assign times. Most of the dining room at Frontera is for walk-ins, but get there before five if you expect to get a table. The food is fantastic

we had four families gather at the Westin for Mag. Mile and Christmas Shopping. Stay was excellent. I would like to thank the restaurant staff for some good meals and how well they accomodated out party of 15. thanks for a good time and great food.

Needs to be refreshed
Location was great. Room furnishings, decor a little tired; could be updated. Bathroom floor areas not clean with visible debris, damage to ceiling and areas below basin. Staff fairly friendly but not to the point of making the type of impression that grabs you back.

My room was arranged at 4th floor. The room was too small for a king size bedroom. The restroom was so noisy that the water supply system was always running. But the location is so good, just near Macy's.

Couple's Mini Thanksgiving Vaca
The staff was very helpful and willing to call restaurants for us, hail a cab, restock items, etc. The hotel was very clean and the room had almost everything needed, except a mini-fridge and microwave. Besides that, the hotel was beautiful and in the heart of the city. That is the hotel's best feature: location! We were able to walk anywhere in the city and had an amazing view of the exciting Christmas cheer and decorations!

Be sure to check out the charming diners and dives just around the edge of the city. It may cost a few bucks in cab-fare, but the savings and portions are worth it!!

GetAway Weekend
The Westin never fails to please. The staff is always charming and eager to assist. The housekeeping is consistent and happens without question. Of course in a hotel this size, you feel a little crowded but that is to be expected. Will return.

Poor Customer Service
While the hotel is beautiful and very clean, I was shocked by the total lack of customer service. They wouldn't valet my car because I didn't need help with my bags. Instead I was directed to the parking garage down the street. The next morning, we needed a cab. We were told to walk to Michigan Ave. because we would be able to get a cab more easily. Are you kidding me?!?! On top of it, we had to pay $60 to park!!! I live in Chicago and have NEVER had to pay that much to park overnight. I will NEVER stay at this Westin again, and I would recommend you don't either.

Great girls getaway
All the ladies in my family stayed here one weekend for a spa getaway. We loved the location which was walking distance to the shops and the rooms were really nice with comfortable beds. We had a great time at the spa although the spa was a bit smaller than expected.
