luxury hotel

My husband had a meeting in Chicago..my son works in Chicago so I wentalong to catch a play, shop and visit. The location is perfect for theater,,short 3 block walk. It is more of a hike to Water Tower shopping but easily done (just do not but much!!) Lots of restaurants close by. Dusappointed that some hotel TV cable channels were not working...we wanted to see the packer game

Great hotel in a great location

The Westin Chicago River North was arguably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The location of the hotel, right off the river, couldn't have been any better, especially for a St. Patrick's Day trip. It was centrally located to almost everything. If you're looking to do most of your activities in downtown Chicago this is the hotel to book. Wrigleyville was a bit far away, about a 15 minute subway ride, but you can't have everything I guess. The service was awesome as well. I did not get the names of the people at the front desk or the concierges but they were all very knowledgable of the area and super friendly. One concierge took her time to tell me exactly where everything is one a map and how to get to the subway.

Everything is within waking distance of this hotel. If not walking distance than a short, cheap cab ride.

Great price for a beautiful hotel

The hotel is in excellent condition and has a great staff. The room my girlfriend and I stayed in was clean, good sized, and had a beautiful view of the Chicago river. The location is perfect if you are looking to eat at the best restaurants which are all in walking distance.

We ate at a Mexican place called Mercadito which is only a block away. The food and drinks are very good and so is the price.

Heavenly get away.

The hotel was quiet, and they truly do have heavenly beds - incredibly comfortable. Food was great at the hotel, and fantastic at nearby resturants.

Just what I was looking for

The Westin was just what I was looking for.I was hosting a bachlorette party. The Westin has a great location to dining and nightlife. The hotel has a swanky atmospher as soon as you walk thru the door. Our stay was only one night, but the room was great - we had a beautiful view of the river and very beds were very comfortable. Would definately stay again.

Very clean and in a nice location

The Westin North River was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean with nice features such as marble floors and counters in the bathroom and a new flat screen TV. There was a nice view of the river and in a central location on the North loop.

Very hip and chic hotel. Very contemporary.

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin. All of the features were gorgeous. This hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of lots of eatiers and historic sites. I didn't need a car or feel the need to take a taxi. I did have guests stay over and was unaware of the VERY expensive valet service, I'll know not to have that happen again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

This hotel is seconds from the lovely Chicago River. There is an off-street entrance and also an entrance from the hotel. I spent many day and nights watching boaters go up and down the river. This river and its historic vibe reminded me of Paris' Seine River

Flawless Service

The Westin at River North in Chicago is a great place to stay. Right off the Magnificent Mile, it is convenient to the CTA ( public transportation ). The hotel staff could not do enough for you - every request I had was courteously respondedto immediately. The daily brunch is good value for the money ( around $ 20.00 ) It is very peaceful and quiet. The rooms were immaculate and the ambience encourages relaxation......
