Great hotel in a great city

Our stay at the Talbott was near perfect! The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The food was great, the room immaculate and gorgeous! It was a little warm under the fabulous down comforters in April,(a lighter weight option would have been welcome) but they still felt divine! I would recommend the Talbott to friends and family. Great hotel in a great city!

Suburban moms' exquisite escape

Three friends and I experienced shopping, wine tasting, and the glories of the Purple Pig before rejuvenating at The (warm, welcoming, cheerfully-staffed) Talbott Hotel. Drinks were good--service fireside near bar in lobby was a dream as we chatted and shared teenage-rearing woes and strategies. Lived the gorgeous room, linens, and super clean. Restorative.

Purple Pig has awesome food. Right across from Intercontinental Hotel. Had to wait 90 minutes, so we started at Enyo across the street from the Pig, phenomenal. Attitudinal waitstaff but great wine selection and artisan cheeses.

Doesn't get better!

The moment you step out of your cab in front of the hotel, you will never stop smiling. The staff by the front door to the wait staff in the restaurant were amazing. The entire place is warm, clean and PERFECT! I was with 2 other gfriends, and we were ALL impressed. That says a lot since we are used to many travels amongst us for work and pleasure. For 5 days, we used every aspect of the hotel from the Concierge to the local health club, and again, PERFECT!!

A Weekend in the Chicago Talbot Hotel

We went for a weekend getaway and the Talbot Hotel was perfect. The greeting upon arrival was warm and informative. The bellman was over the top hospitable. The rooms were well appointed and warm. They had a state of the art Apple TV system tied-in with their normal cable TV and it was amazing. We all agreed that the Talbot would be at the top of our list of hotels when revisiting Chicago.

Awesome place great staff

We loved the staff and the hotel itself. It was just a few blocks from the "main drag" so not right in the jumble but close enough to walk. The restraunt had an interesting selection. We tried the kale juice :) not too shabby. We gave the room comfort a 4 only because the air would only go to 65 and it was somewhat hot at night.

The Talbott is Terrific!

A friend and I had an overdue girls' weekend in Chicago and were delighted with The Talbott Hotel. It's old world charm, roaring fires, and spacious rooms comforted us. The location seemed perfect to me, close to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. I felt so fortunate that The Talbott was within my budget. My one complaint was the cost of parking my car. Yikes! The cost of valet parking gave me sticker shock.

Cru Restaurant, across the street, has the most wonderful tomato jam. The chef created it along with a yummy apple compote on a delicious cheese tray. Go for it!
