Great Staff and Location
The Talbott Hotel was the perfect location for our trip to Chicago. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The concierge in particular gave us great tips on shopping and restaurants. We will be sure to stay at the Talbott next time we visit Chicago!

Great romantic getaway
The hotel was well situated, a block from Michigan Avenue, and the lobby beautifully decorated for the holidays. The location was convenient and exciting. We walked everywhere even in late Decamber! The room was large and comfortable. There was plenty of space to spread out and relax. The bathroom was quite large and had plenty of extras like a deep soaking tub, 2 sinks, long vanity and a separate heater to warm the room. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. They made excellent recommnedations for nearby restaurants. The fitness center was not in the hotel but a block down in the Bloomingdale Bldg. Not as convenient, but the facility was excellent in every way. There was no need to bing anything but our workout shoes and clothes.

GREAT LOCATION
The Talbott Hotel was very nicely decked out for the Holidays. The fireplaces in the lobby were very cozy. The rooms were very comfortable. The location was the best feature as it was -10 degrees during our visit. It was within walking distance to the Mag Mile shopping and dining places.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
The Talbott's location was prime! The beautiful lobby was intimate with a european feel. On the frigid days we were there, the two lobby fireplaces provided warming comfort. The staff was very hospitable and requests from room service were filled promptly. The updated, attractively decorated executive king accommodation was very spacious which included a walk-in closet with a safe. Two large windows provided an unobstructed view of the street below. The room's furnishings included a desk with chair, large dresser with minibar which held a large flat screen TV and a straight back side chair. Additional comfortable seating would have been nice for our needs and could easily have fit into the spacious room. The marble bathroom was superior in size providing both a deep tub and large shower, long counter, and a lighted magnifying make-up/shaving mirror. The bed linens were luxurious, and the mattress was very comfortable with natural feather pillows as well as other pillows provided. A cozy italian restaurant just off the lobby is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night drinks.

Very warm and cozy
This hotel had such a nice warm and inviting feel as soon as we pulled up outside. Our stay was just before Christmas, so it was very festive looking, but not over the top. All staff were extremely polite and helpful and our room was great. The location is perfect too, minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. Although with minus 12 you may want to take a cab.

Starbucks opposite means you can grab breakfast and coffee there instead of in the hotel. Although the hotel breakfast was nice, you might not want to do that every day.

Great Weekend Getaway!
The Talbott is a classic older hotel in a great neighborhood in Chicago. It's only a block to the Hancock Building and Michigan Avenue shopping. It's a cheap cab ride to the theatre district. We've stayed a number of times, and been very happy each visit. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the room was very comfortable-not huge, but it's an older hotel. We especially love the lobby in the wintertime, with its two fireplaces. It's a great place to relax with a glass of wine from the adjacent bar. All in all, we think this is one of Chicago's best values!

Excellant Hotel
When we walked in the door it was like going home. We introduced ourselves and from that moment on it was 'what can we do for you'. From the doorman to the room attendants, everything was perfect. We could not even hear the construction or street noises. 5 Star all the way.
