First time to Chicago

A wonderful experience from the moment of check in to the time we left, the room was fantastic, very large, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, the room was very clean. I felt like I got what I paid for. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. The only issue I had was the parking was inconvenient and pricey, next time I will probably use the valet service.

A "husband" surprise weekend

We came to Chicago to see Wrigley field and a Cubs baseball game. My husband is an avid baseball fan and had never been to Wrigley field. I picked the Talbott after reading reviews online and seeing that it was walking distance to everything! The train to Wrigley was fun, quick and inexpensive. The concierge staff is excellent and gave us great advice on restaurants, activities and getting back to the airport without the expensive taxi fare. The gym was close by and very high end (a great free benefit). I would definitely go back here. Biggest problem is that you cannot book online! I had to go through a booking site to make the reservation.

Overwhelmed

I read the reviews before I decided to try out Talbott. In my heart I was thinking the high ratings given by travellers might be a bit overrated but I am glad I was wrong. It is our first visit to Chicago and we are glad we chose to stay at this fabulous hotel. I have nothing by praises and would definitely recommend this hotel to relatives and friends. We were even upgraded to a suite. I have only 2 proposals which I am sure many travellers will find user friendly (1) Have nice fluffy bathtowels that are not heavy. The current ones are good but too heavy (2) Would be nice to have a bidet in the toilet bowl area

Quick get away from the kids

The Talbott was a great place for us to enjoy some time away from the kids. We not only enjoyed the service at the hotel bar for a late night drink w/dessert, but the location to so many amazing restarunts made our dinner choice difficult. We will be back when our schedules allow if we are looking for a night in the city!

Nice stay at a great location

Very comfortable and pleasant weekend stay at the Talbott. The location was excellent--easy walk to Michigan Ave., restaurants, train, bus, etc. Starbuck's across the street was a plus, too. Was quiet despite some concerns about this in other posts. No exercise facility onsite, but gave a pass to one 3 blocks away with lots of options. The bed was perhaps a little too soft, but otherwise enjoyed the room. Concierge staff was extremely helpful. Overall, a great stay!

A Hotel Staff from Heaven

The Talbott Hotel is lovely and unassuming next to its counterparts just a block away but that's what we loved most. Inside, you are greeted and cared for by the friendliest staff I've ever been treated to. The rooms take you back to a time of simple elegance. The only drawn back is if you are looking for a view of the city, this is not the hotel for you. It wasn't a primary concern of ours. If you want a view, go to Willis Tower. If you want to feel at home and in luxury all at the same time, Stay at the Talbott.
