Excellent Hotel

Beautiful and elegant. Built in the late 20's, this hotel really makes you feel like you're living in another time. I loved the lobby. The room was beautiful. The location is excellent. You really can't get any better than this. Great staff, and very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Talbott Hotel stay near downtown

Not knowing what is where in Chicago, we selected the Talbott for its location just off the Magnificent Mile. We were not there for shopping, but the location was close to everything we planned to see (Navy Pier, the Loop, downtown, Sears Tower (now Willis)). Service was very good. Perry & Dwayne downstairs were a great help. Tim the concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a good stay and would stay again.

A pleasant week end get away

The Talbot provided us a great location so that we could enjoy a wonderful week end in Chicago. Its close to the Miracle Mile, within walking distance of the Loop and Millennium Park. An "L" station is three blocks away at State and Chicago. The only drawback would have been the view from our room. A blank wall of the adjacent building. Other than that it was a great deal.

Really outstanding hotel

Beginning with the warm welcome and accommodating staff there were no downfalls to the Talbott Hotel and its location, room, and superior staff. We had never been to stay in Chicago and this was the perfect location. Quiet to get rest at the end of a day but steps from where anyone would want to be. I am particular about cleanliness and a functioning room and the Talbott accommodated both. Internet worked but was not fantastic, it is though complimentary. Our views did not exist being next to another building but it is the city and we were out most of the time. Being in the hotel was a relaxing rest while there. I will definitely stay again when the need arises. Great city too! Thanks all.

girls' birthday getaway

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. The staff were lovely, although the concierge on this trip was not as terrific as I recall from my last two stays at the hotel. The price was prefect for such a charming spot on the Gold Coast.

If you stay in Chicago, stay here!

The hotel is located on a nice little side street but just a few blocks away from Michigan Avenue. The decor is warm and inviting. The staff is wonderful. They are courteous and sweet. The room was clean and comfortable. And, yes, they really do leave chocolates on your bed at night. I have already recommended it to some friends and if my parents come back in the fall, they will definitely be staying there.
