poor
The staff was average, the room was average, the bed was springy and creaky. The elevators were slow. The valet service was disorganized. This was supposed to be a five star hotel it was like a two star motel. Very disappointed. Would not stay here again.

It is a very good hotel
This hotel is really good. Very nice, clean and comfortable. However, because of the one-way in the Chicago, it is really hard to find the hotel without proper GPS.

Stayed one night for anniversary
What a beautiful full service hotel! This is our second time staying at the Penisula. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that we did not get our turndown, but it was not the end of the world. The food at the hotel restaurants was excellent, and the SPA is wonderful. We will be back again.

Chicago's best hotel hands down
I have eaten several times at the Peninsula and have always wanted to "retire to my room” after dinner, well I finally got the chance and the Pen did not disappoint. This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the best shopping in town. From check in to check out, everything ran like clockwork. The rooms are clean, well maintained and in good working order. The food at their Lobby restaurant was wonderful, as always. On Friday and Saturday nights they offer a chocolate and jazz experience that is not be missed. The Spa is pristine and the staff is very professional, the pictures on their web site don’t do it justice, we loved it. If you can swing it this is the place to go when staying in Chicago.

City Luxury
We lived in Chicago for 15 years, so I'd like to say I know the city pretty well. This is the best hotel in the city. Luxurious hotel, great location in middle of Michigan Avenue, prompt staff, and best of all--an INCREDIBLE spa and fitness center. You cannot miss this part. Enjoy the fitness center/spa first so as not to miss out. It's fantastic!

Great Bar and Location
We stayed for the first time at a Peninusula property. The service is top notch. The maids wrap up the blow dryer the same way every time. Quite a feat! The control panel next to the bed is also very handy. Radio and tv controls together with the telephone, lights and a few other things. I also liked knowing the outdoor tempature coming from Florida. Two things that need improvement are the lighting, they use florescent bulbs and a coffee pot. Bedding was very comfortable. A short walk to many attractions.

Skip Spiaggia and go for the mini hot dogs at the bar. Awesome and you'll save a paycheck! Don't go to the Hancock tower on Saturday night for drinks. It's a wait.
