Stayed one night for anniversary
What a beautiful full service hotel! This is our second time staying at the Penisula. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that we did not get our turndown, but it was not the end of the world. The food at the hotel restaurants was excellent, and the SPA is wonderful. We will be back again.

Chicago's best hotel hands down
I have eaten several times at the Peninsula and have always wanted to "retire to my roomā after dinner, well I finally got the chance and the Pen did not disappoint. This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the best shopping in town. From check in to check out, everything ran like clockwork. The rooms are clean, well maintained and in good working order. The food at their Lobby restaurant was wonderful, as always. On Friday and Saturday nights they offer a chocolate and jazz experience that is not be missed. The Spa is pristine and the staff is very professional, the pictures on their web site donāt do it justice, we loved it. If you can swing it this is the place to go when staying in Chicago.

Beat the Four Seasons!
My friend and I go to Chicago every year for a girls' shopping trip. Usuually we stay at the Four Seasons but this time The Peninsula was offering a free night. We booked a king room but asked for a room with two beds upon check-in. They gladly accompanied us, and the lady who checked us in even offered to accompany us to our room. The room was gorgeous-ton of space, separate dual sinks, tub and TV, etc. The hotel offered free fitness classes, so we got in a yoga workout before beginning our day. We ate at both the Lobby Bar and the Shanghai Terrace. Skip the first-food was good but expensive. I've had better for the money. But don't miss the ST. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, and the terrace itself is gorgeous.

Great Weekend Getaway
The hotel was at a great location in downtown Chicago by Watertower close to the top of the Magnificent Mile and close to Oak St. The hotel was well appointed and the staff was there to serve your every need. The only problem we had was with the key pad. We needed to go back to the front desk at least 3-4 times over the weekend for new keys but the staff handled the problem quickly. Overall, very happy with our stay.

Fantastic service & location, smallish rooms
I stayed in a standard room while in Chicago on business, which had a writing desk and small seating area. The bathroom had both a shower and tub, as well as a water closet. However it felt a bit cramped, like I was always walking into a door. That said, the service was impeccable and the concierge was very quick to respond to my requests.

Classy and Inviting
From the check in experience through housekeeping and room-service, this is a top of the line hotel. The rooms are stylish and contemporary - we had a great view as well. No detail is too small - from doormen who push the revolving door for you, to bedside slippers at turndown, to inviting original art pieces throughout. Add in a fantastic location with abundant dining and shopping within steps of the hotel, and you will never want to stay anyplace else in Chicago.

Great hotel in a fantastic location
Peninsulas never disappoint. Friendly and helpful staff, efficient check-in/out and large, clean rooms. Very comfortable beds, linens and pillows. Only criticism is the room service. At the Four Seasons, you can order ANYTHING at ANY time and they'll make it happen.

City Luxury
We lived in Chicago for 15 years, so I'd like to say I know the city pretty well. This is the best hotel in the city. Luxurious hotel, great location in middle of Michigan Avenue, prompt staff, and best of all--an INCREDIBLE spa and fitness center. You cannot miss this part. Enjoy the fitness center/spa first so as not to miss out. It's fantastic!
