was what i expected. However expensive and everything is extra. like ( Internet, fitness center,) the bed was a bit firm other than that it was very nice.

Great Stay, Noisy Room
Enjoyed out stay. First time here. Room was little noisy. Heard a whirring, vibrating sound (like an appliance motor) near the head of the bed. Couldn't locate the source... Annoying. Clean, comfortable room. Great location for State Street, Opera, Loop. Prefer to be on N. Mich. Ave., but were going to Opera so this was better loc. this time.

They overbooked and we got moved to the 4 seasons it was so nice and the staff was amazing while the staff at the palmers were a bit rude. We got our stay comped though.

The 1,600 room B&B!
My wife and I enjoy the ambiance and decor of the Palmer House. It is our Chicago home! It is a great destination to be right on top of everthing downtown. Be ready to hold your own with the front desk when they tell you that your not getting the room you want due to making reservations through a third party.

Overnight birthday surprise!
Awesome! Fantastic! Very clean! Most comfortable bed, pillows! Been nice to have coffee/tea maker in room. All staff extremely friendly, helpful! This is one of the best!

Wonderful Hotel
Loved it, just a few things....the cost of internet and the workout room are extra. I didn't check the pool. Something to consider if these were features you assumed were included. The rooms were very nice. The staff VERY responsive and friendly. The lobby offered areas to sit, people watch, and have drinks and food. It was absolutely wonderful!

Excellent Hotel Experience
To the Palmer House staff, "Thank you for a wonderful experience." A stay at the Palmer House is to experience the legendary qualities of an historic era, when a stay at a grand hotel offered the traveler more than a room. The Palmer House is an environment, an experience. The Palmer House staff at all levels delivered impeccable hospitality and courtesy. The hotel's location is central to many of Chicago's cultural sites and shopping experiences. Note: The Palmer House is not a contemporary "cookie-cutter" hotel, many of the rooms may not conform to the now traditional "cube layout". The bed and linens were very comfortable. I will definitely stay at the Palmer House for my future visits to Chicago.

Quick Trip to Chi Town

Working in Chi-town
This hotel is a great value. For $159 bucks the lobby is beautiful, cool bar, good restaurant, and the room appeared to have been recently updated. It was very very nice.
