The Drake is still the Drake
We have stayed at the Drke many times. The room was adequate and a bargain for CHicago. CLose to shopping and the Magnificent Mile. The staff was particularly helpful. We walked right in and our room was ready. The lobby was nicely decorated in Christmas decor.

The Water Tower is about a block away. SUperb restaurants close by and a million within a short cab ride.

Only place to stay in Chicago for me
This was my second time staying at the Drake Hotel and will not be my last. The 1st time I stayed at the Drake was for a wedding that was actually at the Drake. This time I flew in from Cleveland to Propose to the love of my life. The only Hotel I would consider in Chicago is the Drake. Great atmosphere and location! You can't go wrong.

Outstanding!

Lalapalooza
From the moment the door of my cab opened I was treated very well and the people genuinely respected me and for my being at their hotel. The staff at the LavaZazza coffee shop located in the hotel who were NOT hotel staff were the exact opposite. They acted as if I was interrupting their day. They also seemed to move more slowly allowing for a long line of people waiting to get coffee. They need customer service training from the hotel that is for sure. The coffee is good but not that good. I didn't have much interaction with hotel staff as I was out on the town most of the time I was there. The bell men and the gentlemen who hail the cabs for you are exceptional, especially a gentleman named [...]. He took care of my date who was leaving after me. I was concerned that she make it to O'Hare on time and without hassle. He took excellent care of her.

Filene's Basement is great place for excellent bargains on great women's clothes. I took my friend shopping there and bought two pair of awesome shoes for under $150.00 total!

Great weekend!!!
The staff here was very helpful and very friendly. The location is right on the magnificent mile on Michigan Avenue and the John Hancock Tower.

Family perfect
Location was perfect for the downtown area, lots of restaurants and shopping all within easy walking distance, friendly staff. Loved the elevators with love seats!
