Perfect location right on the Magnificent Mile
Very clean, great location, good value. Will definitely consider staying ther again. Close to everything downtown Chicago. Loved it.

A perfect location for Christmas shopping. Easy walk to everything you need or want. This was our second year to see the beautiful sights and Christmas decorations on Magnificent Mile. After a big day of walking and shopping the hotel is inviting and comfortable.

Great location, Clean
This hotel is a block removed from Michigan Avenue, which providers guests with easy access to all sorts of shopping. The room was clean and refined but also small. The size is likely due to the age of the building and was fine by me. The only real complaint I have is with regard to food. There are no vending machines in the hotel and the food for sale within the minibar is drastically overpriced. Furthermore, there was no coffee available in the room. To get any, you have to pay room service $9 for a small pitcher or $11 for a large.

One great place!

Great Hotel Great Location
Very clean rooms, friendly staff. We did not like the pillows (too tall) but a quick call to the front desk solved the problem. I wish the wifi service was free.

Great location for walking to chopping, dining, boat tours. We had a great time. The room was small but completely functional and comfortable. Immaculately clean and very friendly and helpful staff.

Local Root - WOW!!! Great food at a great price, sit down or carry out with some of the best fresh baked breads I've had in a long time. Fun and trendy.

Never again
This hotel was a last minute choice because the decision to stay was last minute. It was filthy, to start. Our room, on the 12th floor, reeked of smoke, as did the entire floor, though the hotel is a "non-smoking facility." The clerk explained the situation as follows: "Well, we have two wedding parties," as if to suggest that wedding parties did not have to observe hotel rules. He promised to "spray" out room and the floor, but if they did, you could not tell it. The elevator situation is laughable. They are too few and too small. The wait is unreasonable. I saw two families walk down the stairs with their luggage from Floor 12 instead of waiting. I wouldn't stay there again for free.

Great location! Beautiful setting!
The location right on Michigan Ave could not have been any better from 17 stories up! On top of the that, the hotel was was gorgeous and extremely clean! The staff was excellent too! The size of the rooms are pretty small...I suggest couples go with a standard room and not a petite classic because it gets cramped then. Also, there isn't a pool here, we knew that coming in but we didn't realize how much we'd miss it after getting back from a long day walking in the heat of Chicago! It's definitely a four star hotel, but I suggest looking for promo codes online to get a discount because it lacks space and amenities. I would go back here and I would also recommend it to friends.

Short walk from hotel
This is a Time Saver and a Money Saver. Don't be like me and expect to buy an unlimited CTA pass in the L station. You need to go to either a Walgreens or Jewel-Osco in Chicago to buy the unlimited passes. I suggest getting them because a single ride will cost you $2.25. The transportation system is great there. So convenient to use!
