Good Location in North Michigan Avenue Shopping Area
The hotel location was good for shopping. However, the size of the room was pretty small. Also, wireless service was not free and there are three choices for the internet speed. Even though I stayed in a small sized room, it was not that bad...

Long walk from hotel
Use the trolley system to get to places. It saves on taxi fares. Be flexible and don't try to stay on a strict time schedule. Enjoy yourself.

Great location, good hotel
Clean, nice rooms. Well-decorated hotel, with a little older style. Fantastic location, if you're looking to be on Michigan Ave, or near the Northwestern hospitals.

Chicago Getaway
Very nice hotel with a courteous, professional staff. Although my room was somewhat small, it was fine for a single traveller. Also, the location was perfect - right on the Magnificent Mile. Chicago is a walking city, and many of the main attractions are nearby. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Chi Town Stay
Room was ok, very good for the value. I like that it was walking distance to many of the attractions. I did not like that the tub was super slippery I almost fell when I was showering. Over all good stay.

Allerton Hotel - Chicago - Great place to stay
The Allerton provided me with a very pleasant stay. The hotel staff was professional yet friendly. Although the room was not extremely large, it was very clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. There was a wonderful view of the Water Tower on Michigan Avenue. The Michigan Avenue location is wonderful and is central to everything that I wanted to see and to everywhere that I wanted to visit - Millennium Park, the Architectural Boat tour, and restaurants in the North River area. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

What a wonderful memorable stay in Chicago!
Hi there, Just a short note to say that I really enjoyed my stay at the Allerton Hotel. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends. The location was perfect and the staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. I love the room decor...really upbeat. I was so comfortable I had trouble leaving the room on the day I had to check out. :) Would like to send a special thank you to all the front desk staff particularly Ms. Picaro. Keep up the great work. Next time I am in Chicago I will surely be staying at the Allerton again. Regards Ms. Lois Parris

Great location and staff
Although I booked the hotel one month in advance, the morning of our stay I called the hotel to verify the reservation and they did not have it. Cheap Tickets did call the hotel for us and made arrangements. The staff were very helpful, rooms were comfortable.
