You get what you pay for
If you get a good deal on a room here, the front desk seems to know this and asigns a terrible room. If it was not because of a screaming guest in an adjoining room at 3 am, whereby the hotel needed to do something nice, and eventually moved me to a better room, I would have never known a better room even existed. However, the first room was unacceptable at any price.

Great weekend getaway
Very cool hotel. Loved the room. However, I feel that guests at the hotel should have special parking rates if they are guests of the hotel.

Upgrading to a king room makes the room normal size. If you opt for the smaller Queen double room, then expect it to be slightly smaller than average. Otherwise, we found the King Bed room to be very adequate in all respects.

Average Stay
I was disappointing upon check in to find that my room was not ready. They offered me a smaller room with only one bed so I decided to wait. It took 3 hours for my room to become ready. Upon getting into the room it was clean, and the staff was friendly.

Far far better than reviews suggest
After reading some negative reviews I was a little concerned prior to my arrival. Only after my arrival did I realise that most negative comments. while being valid for those authors, did NOT at all reflect my experience. A wonderful stay in a great location and I would certainly return - without hesitation.

Not bad
My wife and I were there for one evening, while in Chicago house searching. The room was fair size and clean. The cons would have to be: no free wi-fi, no inroom coffee machine(free coffee in lobby), in&out TV picture, and no seperate light and fan in the bathroom(just to get some light you had to hear the fan the entire time). But like I said for a one nighter and a clean place to lay you head, good choice.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
THE DONUT VAULT, 401 1/2 N. Franklin Street, Chicago IL 60654, must be there at least a half hour before opening, well well worth the wait! Best donuts in the world!

Good deal for someone who is not going to stay in room
Location was excellent. Staff was terrific. Room was small but I got a last minute deal. Room had no view from the 4th floor behind the elevators however it was on the same floor of the business center which was helpful. The elevators are slow and although there are many I was always waiting for an elevator.

Dine at the Drake Hotel a few block north on Michigan Avenue at the Coq D'Or. I had the best clam chowder I've ever eaten!
