At Girl & Goat Restaurant , I had one of the best meals I have ever been served. I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and know truly wonderful food.

Sentimental romantic
Super nostalgia getaway!
In January of 1944 my parents honeymooned here. I've always wanted to see the hotel and stay here. It was all I'd hoped for and more. I shared some memorabilia with the manager on duty. She was appreciative of the "do not disturb" sign, a card outlining the amenities of the hotel, and the actual bill which listed the costs for four nights and five phone calls, with a grand total of $19.50. The whole experience couldn't have been better!

Great 2 days of Christmas shopping
You couldn't ask for a better location especially for Christmas shopping. Room was small but the location for shopping and good food outweighed anything negative or even average.

Chicago Weekend Getaway
We were very pleased with our stay at the Allerton Hotel. Top notch from beginning to end. I guess my only complaint would be the elevator situation. At one point we had to wait ten minutes for an elevator. Other than that, I couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience during my stay in Chicago.

Great hotel and perfect location
This was a holiday weekend perfect choice. Rooms are really nice but beds are smaller than we're used to. Junior suites have a larger bed and sleeper sofa. Fantiastic location as its 3 blocks from Water Tower, and 3 blocks from everything else. Bar is very nice and has value enu in evening although drinks are steep. The garage is next door but seperate. If you plan to come and go work hat out with the garage in advance. Very nice for an older hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location and comfortable hotel
The room was fantastic, with great views of Michigan Avenue and superior bedding and a fabulous bathroom. I cannot fault the room. The service was not great. We ordered breakfast and it had still not arrived after half an hour. We reminded them (I think they forgot the order), and they then overcharged us. They graciously accepted the check was wrong and adjusted, but the breakfast was very expensive (eat breakfast out -- there are plenty of excellent places nearby) and two coffees that we had later cost $15, which is ridiculous. There is no grand entrance lobby: you enter from the street and then have to take an elevator to reception. Public areas are rather small. The elevators are very slow in arriving. The location is superb, and we got an excellent rate, so overall we had a great time and would recommend the hotel.
