My review of The Allerton Hotel Chicago, Magnificent Mile
While the room was quite small, it was confortably appointed. The staff was very helpful and answered all this first time Chicago vistor's questions. This is a great place to stay if you're traveling with someone or alone. It is very convenient to great restaurants and shopping.

Fantastic location. Great shopping and restaurants within short walking distance. RL, Bistro 110, Mike Ditka's, Water Tower Place and the John Hancock Tower.

Historic Hotel on Magnificent Mile
The Allerton Hotel has a history that goes back to the golden radio days. Of course, the hotel has been remodelled in a smart art deco decor, but it is not just their past reputation that they rely on. My room was small, but very attractively done and the bed was wonderful. However, the best thing about the Allerton is it's location on the Magnificent Mile which is Michigan Avenue. It is situated in the heart of the Gold Coast with the best shopping and restaurants in the City. It is only a short walk to the newly created Millenium Park with it's Geary designed band shell. Museums and the famous architecture of Chicago are all close at hand at the Allerton.

Best Place to stay in Chicago
It was Great staying at the Allerton Hotel I would go back anytime. The Staff and Concierge were very friendly, the Location was perfect and the view was awesome. It Snowed more back Home here in Canada then when I was in Chicago for the Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. I loved staying at this Hotel.

As soon as you leave the Hotel you are on Michigan Avenue, you can't find a better location. There are Buses right there as well so if you want to go see the Museums, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs, Da Bears or Navy Pier it's all a short distance away. Super convineant. The Subway was easy and fun to take as well. Chicago was super safe No Gun Shots were I was.

What a wonderful memorable stay in Chicago!
Hi there, Just a short note to say that I really enjoyed my stay at the Allerton Hotel. I will definitely recommend it to family and friends. The location was perfect and the staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. I love the room decor...really upbeat. I was so comfortable I had trouble leaving the room on the day I had to check out. :) Would like to send a special thank you to all the front desk staff particularly Ms. Picaro. Keep up the great work. Next time I am in Chicago I will surely be staying at the Allerton again. Regards Ms. Lois Parris

why I think it is the perfect hotel
All the help is friendly and go out of their way to welcome visitors,The location is perfect . Easy to get to everything of interest in Chicago from the Michigan Ave. busses .Surrounded by all the luxury hotels but I much rather stay here and avoid all the glitz. Of course the price difference is enormous.
