GREAT!
The hotel was amazing! Very nice, the staff was so helpful and nice. They helped us decide what attractions to visit and the best restaurants according to our interests. They treated everyone like they were royalty right when they walked in. GREAT location..right on Michigan Ave. in the middle of everything. It was an amazing vacation and great stay.

Fantastic location
Allerton Hotel is located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, pharmacy, hospital, shopping, eateries, public transportation are within walking distance. It is clean and nicely decorated. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. It is an excellent choice if you plan to visit Chicago.

[...]Needles to say it was my wifes first trip to chicago and the room with its view made her fall in love with the city.

Great location, staff & accommodations
I was in for a couple of days for a conference at McCormick. I took the Go Airport Express shuttle from O'Hare, which worked out great, and they picked me up for my return. The hotel is in the middle of all the great Michigan Ave. shops and restaurants. Public transportation located nearby (rail and bus), made it easy to get back and forth to the conference center. The hotel has a chic, boutique feel. The hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I heard another guest comment on the room size. This is not a Marriott / Westin type hotel. If you love boutique-type hotels, however, with a more intimate and luxurious feel, then you will love The Allerton. My room had a sitting area with desk, then wound around a small hall where the closet was to the bedroom, which included a large, flat-screen tv. The bathroom and sleeping area were small but ample. I would definitely stay there again!

If you want to grab some good Chicago pizza, Gino's East is located next to the hotel. Deep dish takes about 45 min. and is delish!

Very Nice
Service was very good. The amenities were of the highest quality, and overall just a fun experience. Parking is the only issue since it's right on the Magnificient Mile. Overnight parking is highway robbery!
