Best beds ever!
Swissotel has extremely comfortable beds and a great location. I would not pay full price, but when they offer discounts it is definitely a great place to stay for adults. Be prepared to bring your own snacks and drinks in or expect to pay whopping prices at the hotel. Do not open the mini-bar! The beds are well worth it-a delightful nights sleep and an IPOD dock and alarm is a plus. Bathroom was nice, but the toiletries were not what you would expect for a 4 star hotel.

Top notch - but ala carte
This was my second stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, room had great view of Chicago river. Walk to Mag Mile and Navy Pier. Beds were extremely nice. TV was a big flat screen. Front desk and service personnel were very nice. The pool is on the 42nd floor and was extremely clean. The fitness room attendent was really nice, offered free towels & fresh fruit. My only complaint is common to most luxury hotels- there was no free internet access. You either had to pay for wireless or use the Business Center for $5 per 15 minutes. Parking was $50/day. I should have used the public parking underneath the hotel. I would rate this hotel 5 stars, it was that good.

Go straight to Mag Mile or Navy Pier. Taxi's are charging gas surcharges now and extra fees for more than 2 passengers. A trip to the Merchandise Mart was $8.00

Great vacation getaway
The Swissotel Chicago, was a great last minute vacation getaway hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff where very kind. The Swissotel was in a great location. Two blocks from Micagan Ave. great restaurants and great shopping. Fantasic view from the hotel to navy pier, just in time for the fireworks. The hotel pool was a hit with the kids. Loved the fact that they had locker rooms with showers.

Very convenient location
Location is so convenient, easy to walk to Michigan Ave and many stores/restaurants. Nice view from room to see downtown scene. The only thing I concerned that is the refrigeratory electric system, I put my breastmilk bottle in the refrigeratory and move a bottle of water away, so my milk bottle could be in the refrigeratory. In the end we drank one bottle of water, but we might move the milk bottle around once, I have no choice, my baby has to drink milk from it, she is only 2months old. I wish the hotel will supply a small refrigeratory or change the electric system. Because in the end we paid 2 bottle of water instead of one.

A Great Experience
Our family couldn't have enjoyed our experience more. The hotel staff was very cordial and kind, even though we had small children. The room had a great view of Navy Pier and Lake Michigan. Also, the room was updated with new and very nice bathroom fixtures which added to our experience. The hotels location was great. We were close to shops and downtown restaurants. There were plenty of options available. We took a cab to the Shedd Aquarium which better than parking! Don't forget to take a stroller for the kids who can't walk all day.

Chicago Weekend Get Away
The Swisshotel Chicago is situated at the midway point of Michigan. Literally everything in the city is of access to you via walk, cab, bus, train or car. My husband and I took a few needed days away from the kids to enjoy the city together. We had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. Our room was newly appointed and extremely comfortable. Everything gleamed in the bathroom as well. Great shower head and pressure for those of you who find this important. I would definately recommend this hotel and it's location to another.

Very clean and comfortable
The Swisshotel was right in the middle of all the downtown action - close to shopping, the Navy Pier, Shedd Aquarium, etc. We were able to walk or drive a short distance to wherever we wanted to go. The hotel and room itself was very nice and comfortable! The only problem we had was since we were not real familiar with Wacker Street (there is an upper and lower Wacker) we had a little bit of a time finding the front of the hotel, and had to drive around the block a few times in heavy traffic.

It's right on the Chicago River and so we had an enjoyable and relaxing time walking near the River area, which was very clean and nice. There was a small outdoor cafe/bar right there also.

Very Good Hotel
Very expensive but the service was the best from checkin to the checkout the service was great. The conciere, the waitresses and the house keeper were all looking to make your stay in Chicago the best so you could not ask for anything more.

Very Nice Hotel
The hotel was very nice with a friendly staff. The location is what was great for my family. I was able to take care of business and the wife and kids were a free trolley ride away from everything.

Nice Stay
The Swiss was very nice, they hooked us up with a private corner room. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms were very nice. I would absolutly stay there again. The only complaint I have was that the staff was not friendly, and bordered on rude.
