Good Place

Great hotel and a great view. Gave half off parking for my hybrid. Also its location was great...only 3 blocks from navy pier and only little way away from all the good restaurants and theaters. Only strange thing was that there was fruit in the room, which would have been nice had the grapes not already begun to get withered and molded...yuck.

It is ok but you sholuld know

The location of hotel is great, however the I think reception staff can definetly improve their personality to talk to people. In addition you have to pay seperately for Internet wireless, water, GYM, pool everythinig you beleive should be included in your hotel price, you have to pay for that!!!!

Great hotel - shame about the lifts !

I have stayed at this hotel twice in 2010 - March and June on business using the conference rooms at the hotel. Overall the hotel is a great location, really well appointed rooms, and great views over towards the lake and Navy Pier from the higher floors. The only frustration I had with this hotel was the new lift (elevator) system which the hotel was installing. When the hotel was running at high occupancy you had to wait upto 30 mins for an elevator. This really left a bad impression of an otherwise great hotel. I would not choose to return until this is fixed.

Swissotel is a perfect choice in Chicago

Swissotel is a perfect hotel with a beautiful view of Navy Pier. Location is perfect as it is right on the Chicago River and has an amazing view of the river and lake michigan from most rooms!!!!! It is a nice walk to Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Rush Street, River Walk and much more. Very clean and quiet. Big rooms with great comfortable beds. Big bathroom as well. If you drive, don't park in their garage, but at the Aqua building right behind it. Will save $20 a night for parking and is connected to the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff......We had the perfect 2 night get away...Would stay there again!

Entertainment tip: Long walk from hotel

We really liked the Redheaded Piano Bar. A nice long walk, but very fun. Can not wear tennis shoes or athletic apparel though.

Great view, Adequate amenities

Came to attend a wedding Some glitches with getting a room with a roll in shower-I am wheelchair bound. As i said best feature was the spectacular view of the lake. Rooms are somewhat small for the price.

Good View, Hidden Costs

Good location, walking distance to Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue. Many hidden costs. $52/day to park...$15/day/person to use the pool. Expensive mini-bar expenses.
