Excellent Hotel

The Soffitel in Chicago is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The staff is extremely helpful & friendly, from the greeting at the door, to the front desk and the bellman. The room was spotless, the bathroom luxurious, wonderful thick towels and the bathrobe & slippers felt so good afer a shower! The location can't be beat as you walk out the door and Michigan Ave is right there.I will continue to stay there whenever I am in Chicago...

Very Nice Business Hotel

The Sofitel Water Tower is a very nice hotel for business purposes. Check in was easy, and the staff is friendly. The hotel offers a nice restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service is also 24 hours. Rooms are spacious with a separate bathtub/stand up shower. The beds are more comfortable than most hotels. The location is great as it is a couple of blocks of the Magnificent Mile and close to many restaurants and shopping. It is also close to the loop which allows easy access to the business district.

Sofitel Chicago Water Tower

The location, two blocks from Michigan Ave., is perfect - close to the activity but very quiet. The hotel service is excellent. We had room service dinner and breakfast and loved the food, presentation and value for the money. We will definitely stay at this hotel again! The room was small, cozy, clean and comfortable.

Chicago

thought the hotel was worth the money considering there was a music fest going on and hotel rooms were scarce. there was complimentary coffee in the restaurant but i had to ask about it, we had a fridge in the room and there is a supermarket around the corner on state which was convenient. we didn't eat at the restaurant, it looked pretty pricey.

Excellent Stay

My wife and I stayed over the weekend to celebrate her birthday. Our entire experience was excellent. The location was ideal for us, only a couple of minutes walking distance from Water Tower Place. The hotel lobby was exceptional and so was the room (luxury - king, upper floor); we had a great view of the city. The experience was well worth the cost.

The Perfect Mix of Location and Hospitality

Here's the thing about Sofitel Water Tower: they excel at having everything you need without getting in your way while offering it. The fitness room is small but it has everything I wanted there. The rooms are not huge, but I found it to be the perfect size. Enough room so you're not tripping over your bags. The views are great on the upper floors. The restaurant is good, but waits on Sundays for breakfast, for instance, was too long for me to grab a bite before we left town. That may be a good thing: it means the food is good, I guess. The staff is amazingly helpful and accommodating. We especially liked the bar manager, who remembered the drinks we liked even though we only ordered them once before. The location, near Water Tower and Rush Street, is great. Close enough without being too crazy. You are a block and a half from the L on Chicago Ave. It's also easy to get in and out of the hotel. The distance from your room to the elevators through the lobby and out the front door is short. That's a small thing, but something that is less convenient at the Peninsula. It is expensive, but worth every cent. All in all a great place to stay.
