The Best
I've traveled a lot but the Sofitel-Downtown Chicago was one of nicest hotels I've ever stayed at...European modern but with comfort, super staff and it's located in the middle of all the downtown action?

beautiful hotel in central location
Sofitel is one of the most beautiful hotels in Chicago. Located just a block or two from the Magnificent Mile and great restaurants, its location was incredibly convenient. We also had a beautiful view of the historic Water Tower, even from the 9th floor of the high rise. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would without a doubt stay here again and again!

The Perfect Mix of Location and Hospitality
Here's the thing about Sofitel Water Tower: they excel at having everything you need without getting in your way while offering it. The fitness room is small but it has everything I wanted there. The rooms are not huge, but I found it to be the perfect size. Enough room so you're not tripping over your bags. The views are great on the upper floors. The restaurant is good, but waits on Sundays for breakfast, for instance, was too long for me to grab a bite before we left town. That may be a good thing: it means the food is good, I guess. The staff is amazingly helpful and accommodating. We especially liked the bar manager, who remembered the drinks we liked even though we only ordered them once before. The location, near Water Tower and Rush Street, is great. Close enough without being too crazy. You are a block and a half from the L on Chicago Ave. It's also easy to get in and out of the hotel. The distance from your room to the elevators through the lobby and out the front door is short. That's a small thing, but something that is less convenient at the Peninsula. It is expensive, but worth every cent. All in all a great place to stay.

Upscale Hotel
Beautiful lobby, nice dining. They have a lounge that most would appreciate. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was a decent size and again very clean. Staff was very friendly but attentive. My only complaint about this hotel was that the bed was a bit soft. I felt they needed to replace the mattress! Perhaps it was just my room! I would highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

The Soffitel in Chicago is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The staff is extremely helpful & friendly, from the greeting at the door, to the front desk and the bellman. The room was spotless, the bathroom luxurious, wonderful thick towels and the bathrobe & slippers felt so good afer a shower! The location can't be beat as you walk out the door and Michigan Ave is right there.I will continue to stay there whenever I am in Chicago...

Very Nice Business Hotel
The Sofitel Water Tower is a very nice hotel for business purposes. Check in was easy, and the staff is friendly. The hotel offers a nice restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service is also 24 hours. Rooms are spacious with a separate bathtub/stand up shower. The beds are more comfortable than most hotels. The location is great as it is a couple of blocks of the Magnificent Mile and close to many restaurants and shopping. It is also close to the loop which allows easy access to the business district.
