Wonderful Chicago accomodation
Our time at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers was wonderful. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays, and the rooms were equipped wonderfully. My only small complaint was that the gift shop marked up postage stamps, but perhaps that is to be expected. I'd definitely return!

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
We walked to both the original Uno's and Berghoff Restaurant, both worth the walk, even in the bitter cold.

A night in Chicago
Somehow we lucked out and ended up on the 32nd floor with an amazing view of the Chicago river and the Trump tower. The decor is traditional, classy and elegant. Room service was great. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly - our little shihtzu was able to stay the night at no extra charge. Also, it was an easy walk to both Navy Pier and Michigan Ave.

Great location, average customer service
The hotel is in Streeterville, which is a great location on the Chicago River. Our room was comfortable and a good size, but with the exception of the doormen, there wasn't any real effort to make the stay a great one. First of all, when one of the hotel restaurants is closed for the evening, it would be nice for the concierge to have this information so the guest isn't sent on a wild goose chase. It would also be good to have the concierge in synch with the one open restaurant when being promised a special service. We were chastized by a waiter when we requested a dish that the concierge had promised would be okay with the chef to make. When we checked out, we were not even thanked for staying. The staff seemed uninterested in being there at all.

Great location, right on the river and within walking distance of the shopping and museums. Staff was great! Only wished it had a hot-tub.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Bring an empty suitcase. Too much shopping to fit with packed clothes!

Reasonable location, not worth the price
The lobby is wonderful, but the rooms were somewhat dated. Location is good, but probably not worth what we paid. No late night food options nearby.

Chicago at it's best
The hotel is beautiful and worth every penny. The only thing was apoun checking in they never told us they were charging a additional $100 on our visa for incidentals. They checked us in and never told us they would be charging that fee. They credit it back when you check out and the room is cleared, but it takes a couple days to clear your account. For my husband and I on a budget that affected other things. If we had known they were going to do that we would have budgeted accordingly.
