Perfect location at the top of the Magnificent mile
As locations go, this Wacker Drive hotel couldn't do better, occupying prime riverfront space in the historical Mather Tower off the Magnificent Mile. The landmark River Hotel has kept up with the times, especially when it comes to environmental impact. Its LEED-registered building and Green Power Partner utilizes low-flow showerheads and participates in recycling programs. For what it may lack in luxury and size, the hotel scores on points like casual ambiance, simplicity and value.

1st Time Visit to Chicago
Perfect Location, Beautiful View
The location of this hotel was within walking distance of everything a "tourist" would want to see -Great downtown vibe, the Chicago River steps away from the front door, and friendly staff. The only complaint would be the bed, which wasn't as comfortable as what one would expect, and there wasn't much shower pressure - but theses are minor things compared to the overall wonderful experience of a long weekend in the city. We would stay here again.

Our Chicago Visit.
Perfect location. Museums, theatre, transportation, near to most city attractions. Room was very clean and confortable. Staff well informed, courteous, and there to help.

Great Service
Fantastic location. Park at the nearby lot was convienient. Bars close near the hotel at Midnite so plan accordingly. Room was very comfortable. Staff very helpful!

Perfect!
This hotel is the perfect location!! It is right along the river. It is only two blocks away from the subway and the bus stop is just around the block. Everything is within walking distance from here. I have stayed in Chicago many times, but always closer to the airport. The River is my new choice every time I visit the "Windy City".

Awesome place
Absolute perfect location for shopping, site seeing and anything and everything you wanna do downtown!!!!! Room was rather hot had a/c on high entire time and room never really cooled down but that's only complaint!!!!

Perfect Room in a perfect location
Business class with all you could ask for packed into one room. Pillows and comfy comforter were perfect and the sheets were soft. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is the second time I've stayed at the River Hotel and I'll be back.

No Iron and AC sucked
Have you ever been to a hotel where you have to go in the hall and get an iron? Also the AC in the room was hot and the room was hot the whole time I was there. I called but they would not do anything to make it better.
