Overall good experience, need some improvement

We booked 2 rooms as we had 6 people in our family. Our rooms were on separate floors. One of the rooms should not qualify as a suite as it was just a big room with bed and sofabed without any wall separating the two areas. This room had a TV which did not even work. Sofabeds had very old mattresses, very old and uncomfortable. Another interesting thing, room had only 2 big bath towels. This is the first hotel I have seen where they only provided 2 big towels. We had to request additional towels. We had to pay for parking, sad. Hotel has a Starbucks, good.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

You can try to park in the open lot on the right hand side of the hotel, we did not as we did not notice it at night when we checked in. Parking for overnight stay was $24.

Unexpected charges

When I booked this hotel I thought everything was paid for up front. I was surprised that I had to pay $24.00 for parking and it was added to my hotel bill. When I commented to the desk I was answered by a woman that was walking behind it saying that you have to pay for parking everywhere in Chicago. I moved to another Chicago hotel the next night and no surprise charges and everything was in the room that was suppose to be and worked. such as hair dryer not working and there was only 1 remote for 2 TV's in different rooms. Next time I see a suite at a supposed 4-star hotel for around $100.00 I will know to ask what is the catch. Was afraid that there was going to be other unexpected charges. There was one bottle of water in room with a $4. price tag on it and nothing else in the room like a mini bar or anything so was confused as to why 1 bottle of water was in there and what else I am going to see on my charge card. I only wanted the room for the night and that is why it was prepaid.

pretty good

pretty good hotel the only issue was that it took 1 hr taking the tram way system to downtown Chicago. Good thing was that there is a station a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Overall great stay great place.

Great Chicago Getaway

Given the close proximity to the blue line, I was able to take in a Cubs game at Wrigley and get downtown without any problem. The staff was knowledgeable about the train system. Room was spacious and the value was incredible compared to the normal hotel rate; there was nothing that could beat it. Pool/hot tub and exercise room very clean and well maintained.

Very nice hotel, convenient for O'Hare airport

Everything was great, no complaints. It is a little far from downtown if you are planning on traveling back and forth from the hotel. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean.

Four star service, good price

Wonderful hotel great service no issues, was awesome having the airport shuttle but too far from downtown Chicago. Took an hour and a half to get to all the major sites. Great thing however was the tram way was two minutes away which was a perk.

Not the best, not the worst

I had issues with being double charged for my stay at this hotel and winded up having a significant amount of money held up for the entire weekend due to mis-charges. All was cleared up in the end but it was a hassle. I would not say it was a bad stay but then again it was not the best. I probably would look around to see other options if I were going to stay in this area again. The cost of parking alone made me want to rethink this hotel. But staff were nice and helpful when I went to them with the difficulties. They did what they could to help clear up the issues. I even received a follow-up call after my stay to inform me the charges were cleared.

Nice hotel, bad beds

Stayed there with my wife. Positive: clean rooms, neat beds and bathroom. Negative: old mattress, it became lopsided when my wife and I were in bed. I almost felt I had to hold her so she didn't roll off the side. (She's smaller than me) My bad back acted up terribly and needed to take meds the 2 days I was there. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.... IF they get better mattresses.

Convenient to O'hare

Nice hotel. Free shuttle to the airport. Close to train so can conveniently get to city as well. My only negatives was that the Wifi was $13/day and I had to go down 12 floors to use a microwave that was in the lobby. Not big negatives, but that's all that kept me from rating 5 for everything. Starbucks in the lobby was nice too.
