Red Roof Inn---awful experience
Our room was extremely small )--there were two small beds and a dresser with a tv on it---a cutout hole held a rod for clothes and an ironing board----(that was the closet)---the bathroom was tidied up but the floor was NOT clean......the carpeting was OLD OLD OLD ---dark, dirty and nasty.....the bedspreads were old and very faded ---the door was very thin---not real wood---and the dead bolt was cracked right in two--like someone had kicked in the door and snapped the deadbolt....my daughter and I just didn't feel safe. The manager was upset that we didn't let him rectify the problem with another room--but we just didn't want to stay there--it was a safety issue at that point.

Never again!
We were a family that reserved 6 rooms for one night and most everyone had complaints ranging from a room right next to a noisy ice machine, a room that had a heater that couldn't be turned off, elevators that couldn't handle the size of the hotel.The only good thing about the place is the location so if you only have o be in your room to sleep, take earplugs.

It's a dump!
The neighborhood is nice and the Red Roof Inn looked nice from the outside. The lobby was ok but I could tell this was not a good place when I got on the elevator. Tiles were broken off right as you got in. The hallway had dirt in the corners and the room was terrible. Extremely small, with old-looking paneling and the only lights were over the bed, one of which didn't work. There were two beds, a small dresser at the foot of the bed with the TV on it - no other furniture - no desk, table or chair. The restaurant - there was one - down the street. Not recommended!

Never Again Red ROOF INN
Horrible
I did not like the hotel at all the rooms were very small and the bathrooms were dirty in both the rooms i was assigned it was a horrible experience !!!

Sorely Disappointed
Hotel was dirty and falling apart. The online pics must have been taken many years ago. Our room was so small my husband and I had to coordinate our movements to go from the bed to the bathroom, not to mention dirty and falling down around us Elevator was broken for over a day on a weekend. Definitely don't recommend this hotel.

No hot water
No hot water for showers at night or in the morning. Staff was very friendly when I brought it to their attention, a pass for a free night was offered. The expiration date on the free night however is less than 60 days, and probably won't be helpful.

Park your car and walk, you are right next to Michigan avenue. Parking doesn't get any better.

We did like the staff at the hotel and the location, but the room was very small and not clean at all. The bathroom was disgusting and when we asked them to come reclean they did, but to walk around in our socks was a could not. When we did our socks were black on the bottom. Once again, we were happy with the service, but our hotel room was less than desirable.

Great Location for the Price
This hotel is in a great location, can walk or grab a bus to anywhere in the city from here. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly, however the room was amazingly small with only one 10'by 14' mirror in the whole room. Also the elevator was extremely small and a little 'iffy'. Over all though we would probably stay there again.
