Red Roof Inn Chi Downtown Magnificent Mile

This hotel met my needs - a low price rate, a great location and cable TV on a wide flatscreen - without making me pay for amenities I don't require. The staff was friendly, cordial and helpful. The rooms could use a little more attention to detail, such as coordinated drapes and spreads and cleaner carpets.

If you wanna spend few days in chicago and stay downtown , close to everything to visit and enjoy, this is hotel is what you're looking for!! it's clean with a friendly staff and just a block from the magnificient mile, the paradise for shopping!

This hotel is in a fantastic location. Downtown Chicago is hustling and bustling with people, and I did not feel unsafe as a single woman walking in this area. It was within walking distance to my destination of the AVP tournament at Oak Street Beach. I walked to Navy Pier, Watertower Place, John Hancock, the fountain and many great shops and restaurants.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for cheap and a great location. Room was not too bad. You obviously get what you pay for however, if you aren't planning on staying at the hotel very much then this is the perfect place to stay.

I did not like the hotel at all the rooms were very small and the bathrooms were dirty in both the rooms i was assigned it was a horrible experience !!!

The satellite kept going out; there was no housekeeping during our 4 day stay-therefore, no clean towels, no trash pick-up, we had to take our trash to the front desk and ask for clean linens. They vaccumed the hallway during our stay but did not come into the room. At least at other hotels for the 4 days we would get clean linens and the trash would be picked up and the TV would work.

This hotel is in a great location, can walk or grab a bus to anywhere in the city from here. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly, however the room was amazingly small with only one 10'by 14' mirror in the whole room. Also the elevator was extremely small and a little 'iffy'. Over all though we would probably stay there again.

It was a decent hotel. I didn't expect too much because it was the cheapest rate I could find. All things considered, for the price, it was in a good location. Good hotel to consider if you are in town for a night or two and don't expect to spend much time in the hotel anyway.

Room was small and a bit noisy but the old fashioned Room AC allowed me to drown out the outside noise. The hotel is an easy, 15 minute walk from The Loop, Grant Park and the Chicago Institute of Art. The walk to the Field Museum and the Shed Aquarium is 45 minutes. There were plenty of nice but not too pricey eats nearby.

The location was perfect but there are plenty of Hotels in the area that probably would have been better. The Door was broken, light bulbs burned out and a leek in the bathroom. The staff was unhelpful and Finally I got a different room. The second room was much better but small. I just can't beleive they gave the first room to anyone in that condition. Also I asked for a smoking room but I had to ask three times and do a dance for an ashtray. I would not go back or recommend this location.
