Palomar Chicago, a Kimpton Hotel

wonderful stay. very comfortable. great location to visit the loop.

I was visiting my daughter. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel restaurant is excellent as well.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Palomar. It was conveniently right outside the train station as well as a block away from the Magnificent Mile shopping district. We were thoroughly impressed with the amenities and staff. There were also many lovely restaurants in the area as well as a solid nightlife.

Lovely staff. There was a line when I checked in, but it moved quickly. Staff were engaging and warm as well as efficient. I love a good hotel lobby and this one has a chic and comfortable "living room" with a gas fireplace. Coffee, tea and a hot chocolate bar are served there in the morning. Great place to read the paper and people watch. Room was chic, spacious and great city view. Only complaint was that several of the light switches seemed to be broken. We had drinks and dinner in the hotel restaurant, SABLE, before heading to the theater. Service and food both great.

good location, lobby but maintenance of bathroom facilities can be improved.

The Palomar is in a great location, convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment. The staff is friendly and efficient. Room service arrives at the appointed time. Our breakfast was good. The staff was uniformly friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay here again. Great for vacation or business travel.

Perfect trip. From the helpful concierge (who directed us to great restaurants and shopping and who had champagne and strawberries delivered to our room for our anniversary) to the seriously incredible soaking tub in the king spa room, this was a truly great travel experience. The hotel is very conveniently located near many tourist attractions and great restaurants. Highly recommend.

Great location. great room. great resturant. the down side overall review of this hotel is overpriced for what it is,and snobby staff. No nye decoration or even an happy nye at check in. I was given a book of rules when i walked in instead of a friendly hello. You were not allowed to bring ANYTHING AT ALL food or drink wise in the room with you, not even vitaman water!!! The pool was very small and cold .overall rude staff and very very long check out. When I asked for late check out I was deneyed even for an extra charge. When I asked for a room upgrade was also told no wich I understand because of nye , but no were sorry or anything to make up for the lack of cust service. I work in the industry and was not impressed by anything but a really nice room. So if thats all you care about go for it.

I was disappointed the whole time. I had booked ( and had called the day before) for queen beds. When we arrived - they said they were all gone and that the hotel was sold out.. That was the one reason I had booked at that hotel. I paid $120.00 more than friends who had booked 2 weeks ago - I had my reservation for 4 weeks. The concierge was supposed to book a reservation for dinner for us , when we arrived at the restaurant - there was no reservation made. The following morning - when we left our room - we waited nearly 15 minutes for an elevator - at one point one of the elevators was carrying housekeeping maids. The coffee and hot chocolate were always empty ....I was disappointed about everything.

Clean, contemporary feel. Front desk was very friendly and helpful with ideas for dinner and directions to attractions, especially regarding transportation in the city. Highly recommend this hotel due to the previously mentioned, and great location.
