Prime Location!!
This hotel is in the PERFECT location if you have never been to Chicago. A short walk in any direction and you are where you want to go. Navy Pier, CloudGate, and the Water Tower district are all just minutes away. There are excellent breakfast locations just minutes from the door. Dinner in the loop is a nice evening walk. The area is extremely safe (and we were there during NATO). The architecture of the area is beautiful. If I were to go back to Chicago I wouldn't look at other hotels, I'd reserve with Marriott again without thinking about it.

Portillo's Hot Dogs at 100 West Ontario Street, is fun and inexpensive. Great american food.

Location. Location, location
At the heart of everything in downtown Chicago. Friendly, helpful staff made it a pleasant place to "come home to".

Great place to stay during my son's Spring Break!
Overall great experience, although the room was a little small...BUT, I have stayed in much smaller rooms in Chicago.

Good vibes, atmosphere, but no creature comforts
Great bar, good staff, fair food. Great pool and exercise area.. But the bed was one of the worst I have ever slept (or not slept) on. The bar was very pricey, altho staff was great. All in all, ok if you're on an expense account and can get a good massage when you get home. On the whole the advantages and disadvantages pretty much cancelled each other out, would depend on the traveler type:if young, tough, and rich, go for it. If you have a greater need for comfort and economy, then skip it.

Great Hotel-BUT
A very nice hotel-but why does a Quality property like this have to resort to "nickel & diming" guests. To pay for internet in room after paying TOP DOLLAR for Hotel Room just doesn't make cents. In addition, two (2) local calls to order a pizza added another couple of bucks onto the room tab. I'm a "Marriott" fan-but this was just EXCESSIVE. Great Location, but I won't be back.

Had the Best Stay
The location was perfect and I plan on coming back to this hotel in the near future. It is in the heart of all the shops, restaurants, and bars. I had such a great time.

Chicago Get A Way
While the hotel is very nice, our room was adjacent to the elevator shafts making it very noisy 24/7. It was comparable to Harley's driving by.
